We had an en suite four poster double bed room with a view of the Loch. We've stayed in this Hotel before. Still as good as ever. Restaurant had been closed over the winter until today (10th April ), so food was served in the bar. Our last night in Ullapool, we spent in the Seaforth. We returned to the...

This either redefines Premier Luxury or as i suspect is a word that should not be used in this hotels advertising! The review previous are fair, our room was the 4 poster - nice view. All pine and dated, behind the bed not hoovered and dusty. The view was the nicest. Its not luxury or premier luxury so please don't...

We live on the Isle of Lewis and have stayed in loads of B&Bs in Ullapool, driving past The Royal a million (or so) times, and always wondering..... On a trip back home from the in-laws in Yorkshire, decided to not have to bomb it back for the ferry, and stay in the Royal with a meandering drive instead. It...

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but is very comfortable indeed, with lovely clean rooms and a great location right on the waterfront of this really charming village. The staff was great, and the breakfast fantastic. Don't miss the porridge - and, yes, porridge with whisky for breakfast is actually a good thing!'

Arrived and checked in and given directions to our room. The room was very spacious and had views from a balcony up and down Loch Broom and the harbour. Four poster bed again but no drapes son not much point! En-suite was adequate but nowhere to hand shower gels and put soap. Breakfast was excellent with a buffet for some...

We had booked to stay here at the last minute as a 1 night stop-over on the way back from attending the Mod in Stornoway. Our room was the corner room looking out over the loch with a four poster bed. Very spacious - just what we needed with a 2 year old. There is a balcony around the whole...

With a great view down Loch Broom, the room was spacious, with a door directly out on to a communal balcony and a modern bathroom with a fantastic power shower. Room was clean and the furniture good condition. Typical hearty full Scottish breakfast. Good staff. The corridors could do with a little modernisation but this is minor. As it was...

Would love to give it 4 stars as the welcome and staff were very good but the accommodation is in need of a "make over"! We ate in the bar...good food and service...Breakfast ...again good with choice of hot food or cold buffet.

Pleasant staff, good welcome, average meal in the bar, and good breakfast. But, generally speaking, the hotel needs attention to its fabric. The shower/toilet area in our room had been renovated, but the labels were still on some pieces e.g the basin stand, and the automatic extractor was hugely noisy!

This hotel has definitely seen better days. The staff are ok and friendly, the breakfast good but oh, does the place need a good makeover. From the publicity pictures you get the impression it is a nice big modern hotel. Well, big it is. The rest, it isn't. The room was pokey, the mattress well past its useful life (awful...
