Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend after the accommodation we had booked elsewhere was inadequate. Everywhere was full due to the jazz festival that was on and the owners of Cefn-y-Dre weren’t taking guests for the weekend. I received a call 5 minutes later to say the would help if they could and offered us a room. Very thoughtful and absolute godsend. The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. They are very modern too. The room we stayed in had an unbelievable view too. The breakfasts are lovely with everything fresh. The main reason that we will however is the owners. They simply could not do enough for us. They were exceptional in every form of the manner. 5 stars.

Cefn-y-Dre is a wonderful place to be. During our cycling tour we had the pleasure to stay there, and if the trip hadn´t been organized beforehand, we would have spend more time there than just one night. Everything was just perfect: tastefully furnished comfortable rooms, lovely pictures and paintings, peaceful surroundings, rich breakfast and most of all - very kind hosts. Jeff and Gaye have restored the historical house with very much love for detail and gave us a very warm welcome. Gaye even gave us a lift into town for dinner, as our legs were a bit tired, and in the morning we enjoyed a very delicious breakfast. You definitely have to try Gayes Glamourgan Sausages! Thank you very much, Katharina and Jürgen.

We have just come back from a few days at Cefn-y-Dre. What a wonderful place to stay. The house and gardens are beautiful and our hosts, Gaye and Jeff, couldn’t heave been more welcoming. Our room was lovely, overlooking the gardens with everything that you could need. Very comfortable bed, tea and coffee, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was amazing! We will definitely be returning.

the overall experience was excellent, I stayed one winter Sunday night in January with my mother prior to a family funeral and the hosts could not have done enough to accommodate us. The rooms & on-suites were first class and a pleasure to relax in. Breakfast was a traditional Welsh cooked breakfast and plenty of coffee. Cefn-y-Dre farm house was a property that my mother knew very well as it had been the home of my mothers first boy friend all those years ago & left us after our stay with a wonderful warm feeling. the wish is to return again at the earliest opportunity & in better times.

A really excellent B&B. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room. Interesting house with lots of family history. Perfect hosts. Perfectly cooked breakfast. There is a sitting room for use by guests. quiet location - its in the countryside and they do not do food in the evenings (it seemed you might be able to book this with them in advance) so you have to be prepared to drive somewhere for dinner. They can offer lots of suggestions and advice re parking etc. in Fishguard. Its a little hard to find, so best to make sure that the map they will email you is with you when you set out! Otherwise a phone call results in precise instructions. Great place!
