Room was clean and adequate for the price. Cleaning staff was very helpful and friendly. I would suggest you bring along any specific food choices you prefer as the complimentary breakfast is all sugar carbs.

The hotel staff are superb - I won't take away from them! The property and rooms were clean. The building is quite old - decor from the early 90s. The beds were comfortable - pillows awful. I didn't realize breakfast was included - so it was a bonus - but nothing available for those who are low carb, or have gluten sensitivities. But, all that I could really look past. What I couldn't look past was that out of 3 rooms I was in - 2 had broken wall thermostats - and trying to control the temperature of the room through the window unit didn't work. In the room I slept in, I walked in to it at 11 pm, the temperature was at 75 - but it felt much warmer than that. When I couldn't turn down the temp on the wall thermostat because it wasn't working - I attempted to turn it down via the panel on the window unit. I turned it down to 63. All night I slept on top of the covers and the unit still kept turning on all night. When I finally cried Uncle at 6 am and got up - the temp was reading at 68 - but the room felt much warmer than that. At home, we keep our house an even 70 degrees 24/7 and I sleep with a down comforter - there was no way that temperature was reading correctly on that unit in that room if I was sleeping on top of all the covers and waking up all night because I was too hot - if the room at been 68, I would have been under the covers and sleeping like a baby..

PLEASE don't waste your money and find another hotel. At one time the Super 8 were a great hotel to stay at, but this one is really I mean really dated and at the prices for the past 10 years you would expect something a little nicer and more modern. The walls in the hotel lobby and rooms are in desperate need of many coats of paint. TV is tiny and the AC unit is freaking loud. Had to turn it off to get some sleep which made the room hot to sleep in. The bathtub needs replacing and the shower had no pressure and the showerhead was really bad. The furniture all has to be replaced because I think it may be original. The bed spreads looks like they are from the 70's in fact other than the itty bitty TV set I think the whole room was designed in the 70's. Honestly at almost $200 which some people still don't make in two days it's rather a dump.

Room reeked of marijuana odour. Hotel manager initially reluctant to provide replacement room. Initially explained that there were no replacement rooms. When refund was requested, a replacement room was suddenly available, and provided although with a very unpleasant attitude. Lamp shades dark stained- absolutely disgusting. Rooms not very well insulated. Be prepared for a noisy environment.

I stayed here for 1 night. The Good. 1. The location is handy to the main route to South West NS. There are fast food restaurants and supermarkets closeby. 2. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are good, with lots of towels and a good shower. 3. Service was efficient at reception. 4. The free breakfast was quite limited, but it had good coffee and muffins. The Bad. 1. The rooms were very dated and had a terrible combination of colours and styles. Brown and orange bedspreads, green walls, and black and white photos are not a great idea. Pick a style and go with it. 2. The furniture and general decor were very dated. This place would need a revamp. 3. The hotel is close to the highway and the soundproofing was not great as I could hear trucks rattle on by. The floors are pretty thin, and I was woken at 6am by the person in the room above getting up. Overall Not great. An ok overnight stop. Please fix the decor!

Stopped here enroute to digby…hotel was ok. Front desk were great, they were the best thing about this property. Property is dated…needs updating. Carpets look dirty and stained. Rooms need to be freshened up for sure…

The room was disgusting. Both lamp shades were completely stained and the AC unit was full of mold. Holes in the walls from something previously attached or mounted that were never plugged or covered. We were put in another room that was different type than we originally booked and were not offered any discount or compensation.

For the price of this hotel it wasn't a great stay. Our bathroom sink wouldn't drain and other than making us switch rooms in the middle of the night, no one on staff was able to do anything except the manager who wasn't on shift any time we asked for help. I'll stay elsewhere in the area next time.
