I stayed here for around 2 weeks in total. After my first night or two I went on the Los Llanos tour, however I went with the company next door and it was amazing. (I'm glad I did this because I met somebody who went with these and said their drive back in the dark and rain their car had...

Its central and the rooms are nice but the service is rather dry and watch where you book your tours cause if its not with them they will throw you out. We felt the pressure to book with them....or else... So we moved to Posada mama Tila just 2 min walk from there. Its right in the centre, they have...

The hostel is a nice place. Some rustic touches and many adventure equipments makes the atmosphere very diverse and funny. Bedrooms are clean and large, beds are confortable, and the silence at the hostel is nice for those who wanna rest, as the common area is upper, far from the bedrooms. There was no breakfast. I had booked the walk...

I've stayed at this place on a couple of occasions and it does the job well. It's a good place to meet fellow travellers (not that there are many in Venezuela these days). There's a great balcony and there are also kitchen facilities. The rooms are fairly good. Very clean and comfortable. You'll have to fight for a towel though...

Located in a great area, rooms are ok, although there was a leak in a pipe from the bathroom and some water was always present on the floor. The view is great and the guamanchi staff are friendly. If one plans to take tours with them, this is the best place to stay in Merida for a reasonable price

After making our way to beatiful Angel Falls and an interesting adventure through Caracas, which I wish to not elaborate, I must finally say that Posada Guamanchi was a great break from the hustle and bustle of the everything. The facilities were clean and well maintained, the staff were excellent and the entire stay in Merida was made perfect because...

The rooms were nice and carlos seemed very nice, we agreed on a tour which was already overpriced but sounded good. Then the next morning he suddenly changed the price +60 dollars so we declined... he started shouting and said we had to leave immediatly(some angermanagment problems. So we went next doors to Yagrumo, were we were welcomed with great...

This posada is run by the travel agency of the same name (a great place to book an excursion to Los Nevados). 300BsF for a room ($50 at the official x-rate, or $10 at the current dolar paralelo rate) that is no frills ok. No restaurant or breakfast, but is located right across from some good ones. Walking distance to...

We stayed for a few nights at Guamanchi and went on excursions with them. The owner is really helpful and speaks good English although not all of the staff do, in any case they are all very friendly and look after you well. The hostel itself is rather quirky with lots of hammocks to relax in and a nice rooftop...

It's not the cheapest hostel, but the place is very clean and the staff is very friendly and will help you plan some really fun day/weekend trips to the surrounding areas. They have some very nice common areas and have wifi throughout the building. Breakfast is not included but kitchen is accommodating. The hostel is also in a perfect location,...
