We stayed at Feon'ny Ala at our driver's recommendation. The welcome by the owner was very efficient, albeit not too charming. The bungalows are small but super clean with hot water and a well equipped toilet. Do not worry about the reportedly damp bed: you are indeed in a rain forest which, by definition, is damp. As the bungalows are,...

Three of us stayed here a few nights in January 2017. It's truly beautiful, with excellent food, and a great place to 'chill out' after our 4 weeks travelling in this amazing country. You will hear Indris calling through the forest. It is sublime. Meals are about $5.00, beers and tonics about $1.50, soups about $3.50, and they are all...

The most amazing experience here is of course to hear the Lumar singing early in the morning! But one night is enough as I woke up by the Lumar (first time at 3:30am, second time around 4am and third time around 6am) so i was extremely tired for the next day. Back to the hotel, it's a cabin, the room...

Make sure you know how much the rooms should cost before you email or call to book. If you have no idea they will grossly exaggerate the cost and you can end up paying nearly double what the room is worth. All up the hotel is nice. Clean and comfortable rooms and a great location close to the national parks....

You are very close to the jungle and bordering on the hikes/walks to see lemurs. The indri start to howl around 4am and it's a wonderful way to wake up! The cabins are spacious and tidy. Most of the staff are very pleasant. We had the misfortune of dealing with the owner or manager one night which was the main...

I stayed in room 109 at the end of the first row of rooms. Nice full size bed. Private shower with a safe in the room and a separate room for the toilet. Small desk with a chair. Mosquito need for the bed. Very comfortable room. The best part was the Indri talking at 4:45 in the morning. I recorded...

The hotel is nothing fancy, but not bad either. We read before about the rooms being noisy, which is correct, but we never heard any other tourists during the night, only the Indri during early morning haha. The food at the restaurant was good with a nice view from the terrace on the forest (also from our room by the...

The hotel is amazingly located close to the Mantadia national park, so you'll definitely wake up to indri calls. The bungalows are simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff, however, is not very friendly. We arrived late in the evening (around 10) and we'd called ahead to ask if there was a possibility to save us some food, even if...

We had a chalet right at the end of the row facing the forest. There were two levels of chalets behind us but we were closest to the forest. In the morning can hear the Indris vocalizing. Completely fantastic sound and little other man-made sounds to get in the way. The room was a simple cabin but fine with a...

The site is large, with bungalows on three levels, ours being in the middle of the three which overlooked the main path and the huts and forest beyond. The rooms are of a reasonable size with large double bed and a good-sized bathroom. It was very comfortable. There was a large restaurant block, one inside and another outside overlooking the...
