The rondawels definitely need an upgrade with a bathroom added, as the outside showers and toilets are really in a very poor state should be upgraded as the price for a just simple rondawel is far too high!

We stayed for six nights in the so called "premier" Mtwazi Lodge. This was the home of the original Conservator of the park and so was spacious and secluded. However, it is deeply buried in the 70's and although everything worked it is very jaded....More
Highly recommend if short on time and seeking the ultimate chance to see as many of the Big Five as possible, then best to overnight at Hilltop a Resort inside Hluhluwe Game Reserve.

We went on the afternoon game drive which started at 5pm until 8pm. I think the cost was about R375 (from memory) the advantage of this drive is the fact that it is an evening one when animals are looking to feed
