We had such a great stay at Norma Jean's. We'd read it was the best place to stay in the area and we were not disappointed. Clean, comfortable, great service from friendly staff and great location to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. After our car being broken into in Bulawayo, we arrived in the dark - tired and dejected after a...

Having just traveled through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe I can safely say that Norma Jeane's campsites were the best we experienced during our extended overland journey. It is also a conveniently short drive from the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe. Norma Jean’s is an institution in this part of the world. They have a large, treed property with lodges and...

We stayed in the budget room, which has a shared bath. The room was basic and clean, the bathrooms were very nice, well tiled, clean, there were 4 available. The grounds are amazingly beautiful with gardens and a wonderful view of the lake, especially from the veranda at sunset. The restaurant, while we did not eat there, looks wonderful and...

I was booked by locals in the restaurant. It was really a big surprise how beautiful this place is. The staff do their utmost to keep the place clean and well maintained. The food is very good. The beds sleep well. The wifi should however be free in this place

A well run establishment set in beautifully groomed gardens. Full of nostalgia for those of us who grew up in Zim. Hospitality is still second to none! The accommodation is clean, menu scrumptious and views are picture perfect. I really think the traveller is missing out by not coming to this area and this charming place in particular. Lovely! Highly...

Great place to stay with impressive gardens and friendly staff. Food was good and large 3 course meals were $20. Wifi available at extra charge of $5 per 100mb. Would definitely stay again and is perfect for any trips to great Zimbabwe as about a 10 minute car journey away.

Accommodation was comfortable, spacious and clean in an exquisite garden surrounding. The old fashioned quaintness is charming, dinners and breakfasts were served efficiently just like in the old days. The set menus were excellent, tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a good place to visit the Dam Wall and the Great Zimbabwe ruins. It is an oasis of beautiful gardens and lawns over looking Lake Kyle - the verandah is a lovely place to have afternoon drinks watching the sunset. The meals are excellent and there is a lovely reading room if the nights get too chilly....

I really enjoyed it here. It is a trifle old fashioned, set in lovely gardens with wonderful views over the lake. Food and service is solid but very warm and welcoming. It is about ten minutes from the Great Zimbabwe historical site.
