I stayed here twice, about a week apart. My first stay was great, nice staff and good value for the room. My second stay was amazing - met Chris and his wife (the owners) after wrecking my truck, and the stay was great. They were friendly and hospitable and really turned my mood around. Not to mention a free upgrade...

I had responsive emails in English from Tonito and decided to book the rooms at 400bolivianos with a guaranteed hot shower. And heating. Trouble is it was far from guaranteed and rather than say ok you got no shower rather than a guaranteed hot shower and the room was cold all night hence we will charge you at the lower...

The hotel had clean and tidy rooms. The hotel had solar heated water so it was very difficult to have a hot shower whilst the hotel was busy. The onsite restaurant was very good. The large pizza's were especially tasty and came with all you can eat salad. The breakfast buffet was also very good value for money. The pancakes...

Pros: very kind staff, comfortable room, awesome breakfast buffet with eggs and homemade bread, Minuteman pizza in the building (best restaurant in town), quiet, close enough to walk everywhere Cons: spotty wifi, electric heated shower had a very cold drip down the middle If you absolutely need a hot shower, get a room with solar power heated showers (more expensive)....

We moved to this hotel from a much more basic one, and ended up staying 1 night in the cheapest private double en suite room. Tonito was considerably more expensive, but the rooms were a lot nicer (with carpet!) and warmer. The downsides were that the beds were actually softer than the cheaper hotel, and the electric showers were really...

Quite often, in the more out of the way places, you get one or the other. A decent hotel and not much choice on the cuisine front, or vice versa. Uyuni is the exception to this loose rule. The Tonito hotel is a gorgeous wee oasis on the edge of the Salar with large, clean rooms and staff that cannot...

First off, the location is great - right next to an army base (so its safe) and on one corner of town (so its quiet). Perfectly convenient too - a short walk from everything! Well kept, colorful rooms and very pleasant common areas, and an excellent restaurant to boot! The buffet breakfast is fantastic (and part of the room rate),...

First off, Uyuni is really average as a city and the accommodation here is ludicrously overpriced for what you get so my review takes this into account. Pros - Nice big room, clean, hot water (at least in our double room), fairly warm even at night, good blankets on the bed, nice staff, runs efficiently and best of all is...

I cannot recommend this hotel more. The incredibly friendly staff was so helpful and kind to us when we were stuck in Uyuni for a few days due to the miners' strikes blocking the roads. The hotel had by far the best breakfast we've had in our 3 months of traveling in South America. Delicious omelettes, potatoes, pancakes, coffee, juice,...

Stayed one night in march, 2014. Room clean and warm, shower only ok. A bit noisy, but that's south America! Food...amazing. Breakfast made my day, first good brekky in weeks! Apple pancakes, home made breads and jams, eggs, fruit, juices, Muslim. You name it! Pizza was huge and could create your own. Owners friendly and eager to please-making things off...
