The only reason i would not give full five stars is due to the lack of some basic utilities such as hot water and lighting in one of the bathrooms. Other than that the place is excellent. Well placed and the staff are great, not sure why anyone found them to be rude. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. Fresh cooked...

Stayed here at two occasions, as it was the only place with availability. The first time we stayed in a double (55 TOP) the second time in a private room for 60 TOP. Both rooms were basic as we expected in this price range, and all we needed was just a clean bed for the night. In the double room...

First of all, the photo is not matching at all! The current guesthouse is a two storey building with a car wrecker 's dream of a back yard. Tonga is not a place where price is an indication of quality and this guesthouse is a prime example. However, Fifita herself was warm and generous and made our stay very memorable....

It is certainly not a luxurious place, but no doubt it's efficient, clean and adequate; and the owner is friendly and courteous. The location is very convenient, close to the pier in the center of the small town of Lifouka, just above the Mariner coffee. Perhaps the area is a bit noisy but I had fun and experience the friendly...

If you arrive expecting luxury at affordable prices, Ha'apai is going to pose a bit of a problem. The main islands in this chain unfortunately have very little in the way of good accommodation at cheap prices. However Fifita's is very cheap and it is bearable. Rooms are fairly clean, if sparse, ugly and small. The beds have mosquito nets,...

Well ok - if you want a romantic get away - or even 3 star hotel - this is not the place for you ! However, if you want a clean(ish) room - internet and a base for a day or 2 of exploring the beautiful Ha'apai group of islands - this is the place for you.. The only restaurant...

We were told to go to Fifita's as its affordable and gives a chance to experience true Tongan Island life. The lady told us she was full and only had the most expensive room left. Cost, $75. the room was dark, dirty (we asked her to clean an extra time, but the concept of clean was vague), full of cobwebs...

This guesthouse is showing its age but there are so few budget guesthouses on the island there is little to complain about. We stayed for quite a few nights and spent our days diving whale swimming and just looking around the islands. It isn't the cleanest place in the world and the bathrooms need a major overhaul. If you just...

It's cheap, it's a Ha'apai institution, it's a genuine Tongan experience. It's not 5 star accommodation, more like a hostel. It's not quiet. But you get to look at pigs and chickens wandering around, listen to children playing and doing their chores, and you are in the centre of town. It's right above Mariner's Cafe where you get wireless and...
