Port Wine Guesthouse is absolutely beautiful. The front house where I stayed in a single room is stylishly decorated with local timber and handicrafts and you can also find books and guides to read of the local area. The breakfast consisting of hot (made by request) and cold foods and drinks are fresh and local and you must try the...

Port Wine felt like home. A safe, happy and extremely welcoming environment. The food (many breakfasts and two dinners) was delicious. The setting is beautiful, flowers all around. Close to everything, yet off the main drag. Wonderful hosts and staff. I highly recommend it.

Lovely place, daily breakfast, run by beautiful, friendly people who will help you out with any taxis or airport transfers you need. Affordable; it's not a swanky hotel but a few houses converted for accommodation. Will be booking there again when I return.

Was spoilt by the wonderful Tongan staff. Will be returning in 2 weeks and for a longer stay next year. Breakfast gets you off to a good start for the day and the fish is brilliant. The pick of the whale diving venues. I will try Haapai and compare.

Tai, Salote and the Tongan crew have done a brilliant job keeping this place real and true to Tongan culture and hospitality whilst serving the diverse nationalities who stay. Such a relaxing environment and a great example of a Tongan success story, owned and operated by Tongans. Malo aupito, Ofa atu.

We went to Vava'u for whale swimming and stayed in Port Wine for 10 days. Everything about this guest house makes you feel like home. Besides all the necessary facilities a guest house should equip, the host and his family (Port Wine is a family managed guest house) really take great care of their guests. By the end of our...

I came to Tonga / Vavaú to swim with the whales. Port Wine was advised to me by one of the local whale swim companies and I am happy they did. I loved my stay and I have already booked for my return in 2017. What a great place to stay! Port Wine is a fairly small scale family managed...

Found this place on google search. Wanted family run accommodations for 4 friends traveling through. We hit the jackpot with this place... Friendly staff who became fast friends, clean rooms and beautiful grounds. Breakfast every morning was the best. Can't recommend this place high enough... Will be staying here again next year....
