Nice quiet place without the crowd at the beach. Really good and courteous staff. The head chef will make your favourite meals. A perfect place for holiday and relaxation. Kudos Salama beach team for your hospitality. Will be back soon!!

It seems that the ownership of this hotel recently switched ownership. The ENTIRE place is under serious renovation and construction. When we arrived, it appeared that only the pool area, our room and the neighboring room were complete. There were about 25 construction workers walking around most of the day throughout the hotel premises and at night they would play such loud music that we could feel the floor vibrate from our room (Even though what was left of the restaurant was on the complete other side of the hotel). If you do consider staying here, please wait some months. It does have the potential to be a wonderful and beautiful hotel but currently it is NOT a good place to go if you are wanting a quiet, restful holiday. Because of previous reviews, we chose to stay here but beware, the current place is nothing like the previous reviews. That all being said, the staff are very friendly and they do try to help. The food was really mediocre.

Stayed 2 nights in late March 2018. Christian and his wife are the most wonderful hosts. I was impressed how well everything is maintained (not easy on the coast)... lovely pool and lobster samosas knocked my flip flops off! Wow!

The visit was to short but the place was superb. Will stay longer next time. The rooms are large the staff friendly. The food is exceptional. Will visit again. Its on the beach and the reef walk was interesting. Recommend you take a pair of old trainers to do the walk.

Our first visit to stay at Salama although we had eaten at Maridadi many times before. A great welcome from Christian and Monika. Our bungalow had an excellent outlook over the pool and the Indian Ocean. A small resort with the personal touch and our accommodation was perfect for our needs. It was the ideal spot to chill out lying by the pool, reading a book and walking on the white sand beach. The food was excellent and the last evening table barbeque made it very special. The staff were attentive and we wanted for nothing. Would definitely recommend a stay here to everyone.
