Used to come here often for lunch or dinner when visiting Kisumu on buisiness. Have stayed twice. Usually came midweek so it was quieter. I understand it can be busy at weekends/public holidays. Always had a lovely fish lunch with warm vegetables, a large plate of kachumbari with chillies and a cold tusker. You get a lovely breeze from off...

Definitely not a place to be over the festive season 😩. So, you would think as much as they allow walk ins, they would give 1st priorities to the people who have booked to stay with them, right? Naaada!!!! They don't care! You have to struggle to get a sun bed because the walk ins have occupied them. After getting...

Dear Guest, Thanks for your candid review of our resort. We are sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience over the festive season. We do admit that we were extremely busy over the Christmas period, and this may have negatively impacted our usually high standards of service delivery. As a policy, our doors remain open to all who...

I have stayed here quite a few times and am always impressed with the warm welcome. Further the service is good for this type of lodge. The views r splendid, staff warm n hospitable. I normally only have breakfast that is good. I think Kiboko Bay offers a country stay in the city. Try it. It's good.

We went for lunch, most of us had the wet or dry chicken on the local menu, we all seemed to enjoy it. There was a dispute about the bill which at first the manager refused to amend; we were charged full price for kids meals even though we were told they cost 450ks each. The waiter admitted the mistake...

Dear Guest, Thank you for providing us with candid feedback on your visit for lunch at our resort. We regret the dispute about the bill, and fear this was caused by a miscommunication by the waiter who served you. We do not provide kiddie meals on our menu, and are afraid the waiter who served you misunderstood your query, and...

Stayed here at beginning of this month and had a great time. The tents were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well maintained and staff were quick to fix problems with the hot water. The food was delicious and staff were very welcoming. Only fault is that dinner on our first night was very delayed (1.5hr wait). Kisumu city...

Just a great place to go and stay. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and the luxury "tents" are very well appointed. Food was also very good and the menu had a lot of variety - we were impressed. Views over Lake Victoria and the sunset are nothing short of stunning and worth the trip in their own. The...

The place has excellent service, food and also views. There are several activities that would keep people entertained from the boat rides to the pool area. The place is more luxury priced but it is totally worth it.

With such a high daily rate you would think the owners could take care of the rotting boat loading platform that is tipping over into Lake Victoria. Or, replace the kitschy and rusted CFL lanterns hanging along the dock.

Management response:

Dear Guest, Thank you for visiting Kiboko Bay and for your candid feedback on the resort. As regards the floating jetty, unfortunately the lake has had its tides ebb and flow unpredictably over the past few months, which destabilized the jetty and resulted in our mooring it to the shore whilst we waited for the tides to subside. This has...
