Royal City Milimani has the best environment suitable to cool you after breathing the hot Kisumu air.The rooms are good and I rilly liked their meals. The rates are also friendly, especially for those not intending to spend a lot. I highly recommend.

I booked for a deluxe room while leaving Nairobi and my booking was confirmed. On arrival by the last flight to Kisumu I couldn't get a taxi to the hotel and called the hotel which is about 20 minutes drive away from the airport, to come and pick me on my account. It took them just about 2 hours to...

I stayed for several days in March. It was good value. The staff were extremely good and helpful. The pool area is great for a relaxing beer or two,. Food was ok but not exceptional but a good breakfast was served. Still hard to find anything other than Nescafe instant coffee in any hotel in Kenya yet

I stayed with my fiancé at royal city hotel for one night during Easter holidays. The hotel is located in town so quite accessible by car or taxi. The rooms are quite modern, clean and spacious. As kisumu can get quite hot AC is available in the rooms and working though they were pouring water on the outside corridor and...

This is a nice hotel right in town and easily accessible. It has excellent facilities including a swimming pool(at Milimani....the town branch has no pool but has nice parking within). The rooms are large and well cleaned. The food is good.

I've been to Kenya many times & I've stayed in many hotels. The Royal City Hotel is by far the nicest place I've stayed in. The staff are so friendly & accommodating. As a missionary we never really have the comforts of home but this hotel offered many of them. We were thrilled to have an actual air conditioner in...

Stayed in this hotel in March 2015 on a stopover from Kakamega to Nairobi. While the rooms are large enough and clean, I found the service wanting. It took so long for the waiter to get my dinner order. I had to cancel the order and go and eat out of the hotel.

This used to be a good hotel. I have stayed there many times. I am no longer impressed. The standards have dropped significantly on all fronts over time. Customer service means very little here. I booked 13 rooms for my colleagues. They sold them off and pretended I had cancelled. Are they nuts! There was a governor's convention in town...
