Our second stay here and just as good as our first. This really is a special place and to keep it unspoilt and not to commercialised cant be easy for the owners. We stayed for 4 nights which is probably about the average stay for visitors and is long enough to see most of the island and to get into...

If you choose Bird Island, you choose nature. Not exquisite luxury, but just untouched and extremely beautiful nature. From the moment you land on the island's grass landing strip with the Twin Otter, you are welcomed by birds. And also by Robbie, the island's conservationist. He gives you a warm welcome and explains how things go around on Bird Island....

We just came back from our latest visit. We knew changes in management were due to take place this year with the owner, Guy Savy, handing over to shared management between his two sons, Alex and Nick. It seems to be working. There have been the inevitable changes that occur with change in management but these have not affected the...

If you decide to go to Bird Island Lodge, go for the birds and the birds alone, because that's pretty much all there is to it, and that’s how they want to keep it. Yes, the beaches are beautiful, but this is the Seychelles -- there's no such a thing as an ungorgeous beach. It’s a birder’s paradise -- birds...

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your review of our island and lodge. We thank you for your appreciation of our beaches and our island as a Birder's Paradise. In keeping with our concept as an eco-lodge, simplicity is key, and is the reason for our basic amenities. We do apologize regarding snorkeling equipment, which is being looked into. We appreciate...

Only a 30 minute flight from Mahe - landing on a rather bumpy small landing strip which is 2 minutes walk from reception - a great view of the island as you make your approach. Our bags were spirited away from the plane to appear again at our assigned chalet. The rooms are spacious with lots of hanging spaces and...

We visited for 3 nights in the middle of October, after visiting La Digue & Praslin. The trip was a concession to my bird watching husband & I hoped it would be the hilight of his holiday. How surprised was I to find that it was mine also! As previously stated, the rooms are very simple but provide all that...

A short 30min flight from Mahe and you step into a nature wonderland, a warm greeting on arrival, some banter from Robbie the "island legend" this little island is simply gorgeous, clean beaches, comfy cabins, a good variety of food for all meals. The bird life is amazing , so may on the island and not scared of us humans....
