The Buffalo Hotel is situated in the centre of Moshi which is a small and uninteresting town. The hotel is basically is an overnight stop over by travellers destined for Mt Kilimanjaro and the famous national parks. This is a budget hotel so not much can be expected from such accommodation. We had booked 8 double rooms for a couple...

Though the price was my major motivation to stay, everything else about the hotel was not to standard. Cleaning was extremely poor, generally run down service no existing. But good on a budget about 12$ a night

What do you do want when you drive for 8 hours in a car and want a peaceful sleep? Simple. You want a peaceful night, right? Haha! I am writing this right now in the middle of the night actually in Buffalo Hotel in Moshi and I can tell you - I have travelled several places in the world and...

As part of my Kilimanjaro offer I got one night accommodation at this hotel and really enjoyed from the time there. Room was clean , great TV , hot water and just everything just as it should be ! Breakfast was also fine. Definitely recommending this place !

First impression... Why here? Starting proposing the room at 35 usd... With only fan... (Managed to get a more reasonable price) And a room almost 12 hours under the sun.... Sooo warm! Breakfast experience coming in the morning... As deceptive as for all other reviewers. Just had an argument with one of the ladies... Changed the room, and had some...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our Mount Kilimanjaro expedition - one night before and one night after. Rooms themselves were fairly clean; but the bathrooms were a bit rusty, mouldy and outdated. Don't expect hot water at all - this was awful after 7 days hiking up a mountain. Rooms had mosquito nets. The...

When I reached Moshi as a volunteer, I stayed 3 nights here. It was not so good, but not so bad. The place is good because it's in the middle of town, and there's the famous restarant for foreigners 'Indoitaliano' in front of this hotel. If you want to have local food, you can choose other local restaurant on the...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our Mount Kilimanjaro expedition. We stayed there the first night before climbing the mountain and the last night. It's a terrible place, the food quantities are very small, breakfast is limited to only one small cup of tea and if you want more you will have to pay for...

This hotel is cheap and only for backpackers travelling on a tight budget. The service is non existing, the rooms are extremly small, beds where actually comfortable, but that's as much positive I can think of. No wifi available, but the Indian Italian restaurant on the other side of the street have free WiFi, that where we spent most of...
