We came to the YMCA with a couple that stayed there before we went on safari. They told us the price ($14 per night plus breakfast) and how they experienced it. We decided to stay there as well. The rooms are basic (no fan, but there was a mosquito net for over the bed). The beds were solid and comfortable...

Very standard and basic hostel with good prices, though better options for value exist in Moshi. The pool itself is the draw--lap length with clean water and nice manicured area around pool. Good seating poolside. Changing rooms leave a lot to be desired and plan to bring valuables out to pool side with you. Safe and well watched, so ripoffs...

Basic, cheap hostel but the highlight is the pool which is huge and very inviting in the midday heat. I stayed here in February 2008 so it has probably changed quite a bit since then, however it was cheap and moderately clean when I stayed, and located fairly close to the town centre

Good rooms, hot showers (common), excellent location, super view of Kili, breakfast so-so, meals are cheap and ok. Cold beverages at reasonable price. Many trekking agents have office here. Stayed one night and loved the place. Niels

At first glance we were less than underwhelmed with this accommodation booked by our travel agency (Trans Kibo- based in the hotel). The rooms were very old and basic, you couldn't be blamed for thinking they were reminiscent of a prison cell. The towels were faintly stained and the shower block was decaying. The hot water needed to be turned...

Cheap and cheerful accommodation in Moshi, we stayed here for a couple of days either side of a longer stay up on the lower slopes of Kili, it was a good place to acclimatise having flown in from the UK

The staff here are consistently friendly and helpful which makes the stay more pleasurable. Rooms are very basic as are bathrooms and be aware of the electric heads on the showers as one of out party was electrocuted! Food in the restaurant is good and the pool although cold is a definite bonus. Wifi codes can be purchased from the...

Very charming with the school children running the show. The pool is large and clean, and the food is to die for. Bedrooms are clean and secure, and bugs don't really make an appearance. Close to the center of the town.

I only spent one night here and it was clean and friendly with awesome views and animals running around outside also great views of Kili. I used their climb crew and they were awesome...I cannot choose the real dates of my visit but it's been awhile so not sure if the same porters are there...I have great memory of Tanzania...
