Perfectly situated, stunning views and excellent service. Crater drives are fab for gerting to see loads of wildlife in a small area. Bars can get busy at night but staff very helpful and accommodating. Quick friendly service at all times. No complaints.
Fantastic lodge in all respects and an amazing experience at the Crater! This is a must do 2-night stay as part of a longer Safari in the Serengeti. The staff is excellent, thanks to Simon, my butler, for lighting the fireplace each night and drawing...More
My daughter and I traveled to Tanzania in May of 2014. Our last stop was a few days at the outstanding, luxurious Ngorogoro Crater Lodge. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt like we were extremely pampered. When we would...More

We were there in February so unfortunately I do not know what the weather will be like in August. February was fairly hot, but that it is because it is Africa's summer then. What I can tell you is that the floor of the crater is usually hotter than the rim. And the lodge is beautiful. We did go to Botswana and Zimbabwe in August and it was still hot then but the nights were cooler. Sorry I could not be of more help, but enjoy your trip!
