Despite its location away from downtown Banda Aceh, I have many reasons why I should return to stay at this hotel. The exterior which, personally, became my favorite. You can sit for hours in the lobby while enjoying the beautiful exterior of the building with the sound of water from the pool in the hotel lobby. Pade means Rice, of course you can enjoy the scenery of rice fields surrounding this hotel, which gives the impression very comfortable and healthy. The pool is small but comfortable and much more my reason to come and stay again at this hotel.

When booking online one is never quite sure what you are going to get.
This hotel certainly provides what it "says on the box" with some exceptions. The room we were in was comfortable, big and spotless. Pillows 5/10 and mattress 7/10. Bathroom 7/10
Some issues. I don't drink alcohol so it did not matter, but my wife enjoys a glass of wine with her dinner, and although there were some wines on the drinks menu, non were available(its not as if we did not check beforehand, some duty free would have done the job). So that was a no no.
The restaurant was ok, not good not bad... just ok... it depends on ones expectations I suppose.
The key question on whether well go back ...... Mmmmmm 50/50
Don't look forward to the gym it was there in name only

Though it's only rated as a 3star hotel, personally I think it's the best u can find in Aceh.
Newer, cleaner than the 4star Hermes.

Modern design hotel with spacious room.
Very friendly and helpful staffs. Special mention to Febry who drove us around the city for 3 hours.

Downside - swimming pool looks 'uninviting'.
But for business travellers on short stay, that's not an issue.

Would b great plus point if they have a spa.

Professional atmosphere and nice hotel in Banda Aceh.
Restaurant is very well lit and comfortable.
Room for improvement: Please add VEGETARIAN ITEMS to the MENU. Just about Everything contained animal products (meat, dairy, cheese, eggs etc) -no thanks.

Our room was very nice with a huge shower and a balcony, comfy bed, clean and we liked it.
Side note: we asked for a non smoking room but were confused when the staff said that smoking was allowed everywhere :(
Thankfully our room did not have a cigarette smell to it; but that policy definately needs clarity from the management

We stayed here for one night before going to Pulau Weh. By Indonesian prices, Pade Hotel was extortionate. The hotel’s nightly rate seemed more on a par with that of Europe.
There doesn’t seem to be many options in Bandah Aceh though. Saying this, the hotel is modern and clean with a grand entrance overlooking the mountainous distant landscape.

The staff were friendly and helpful at both reception and the restaurant. We dined in the restaurant during our stay. There was the option of buffet or A la Carte. We enjoyed two dishes from the menu, but would advise the buffet if you have a larger appetite or prefer different choices. It all looked nice.

Breakfast was also nice. Again, a buffet selection in abundance. There were lots to choose from and additional freshly cooked eggs on offer.

We tried out the swimming pool during our stay. It was a decent sized pool but quite busy over the weekend period.

Our room was nice; it had a large bed, satellite TV and comfortable seating area. There was a shower room ensuite and balcony overlooking the courtyard also.

On departure we organised a tour of the city for three hours with the hotel reception. It was a great trip, we decided what sites we wanted to see and our driver took us there. The final destination was the ferry terminal.

Overall, a good stay.

This was where I stayed on my way to Pulau Weh for diving. It turns out to be owned by the same people who run the Pade Resort and dive shop in PW and so you can use this as a home base to coordinate your whole trip. You'd be taking the luxury option in that case. Both the resort and the Pade hotel in Banda Aceh are higher end hotels with prices to match. Still affordable by US standards but something to consider.

at Pade the rooms are clean, a tad small but not really, with amazing walk-in showers with multiple shower heads, gorgeous stonework balconies that look over a man-made stream in a marble bed. It was extremel pretty and tranquil. The decor is simple and classy.

i was the only person in the hotel the night I stayed (just after the Eid holliday) but they put out the breakfast buffet for me nonetheless and even offered peanut butter for my western tastes. Good food. It's a bit pricy however and will show up on your bill.

Given the lack of guests the staff was of course very attentive. The desk clerk spoke very good english and helped me set up my wifi, get a taxi to the ferry, and work out some other travel details.

My biggest problem is that you are stranded at the hotel. Absolutely nothing in near distance to walk to. Not a far taxi ride to town, however, if you know what you'd like to do there. Also the "gym" was fairly small and dingy and the pool was closed while I was there. It was smallish but pretty, laid in stone, with grass all around.

still it was a very pleasant stay. Views of rice paddies and mountains in the distance. So isolation has it's perks.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good food, tasteful rooms. The location is a little far from the center of town, which has it's ups and downs. The pool could be bigger, but at least it has one. Foreigners can get beer & wine.... although costly.

Not a bad place at all.... One of the better places I've stayed in while traveling in Banda Aceh.

I staid many times of and on in this hotel all in all 1 year. Especially the VIP rooms at the end of the wings offer a spectacular view of the ricefields and mountains. But not the VIP room on the groundfloor, than you see only the wall. The other rooms are OK, the lighting could be a bit better. Food is good. The hotel is at the edge of the Banda Aceh city so, city activity is not nearby and taxis are few in Banda Aceh
