I stayed at this hotel a night and it was enough. I was expecting to stay in a deluxe or superior room but all rooms were full, I stayed in a standard room with 4 beds (very basic). The bedsheet was clean but feel strange, maybe too much fabric softener. Bathroom and toilet were dirty, water from the shower has no power and was not useful at all as a shower. Excluding breakfast for standard room, no worth for the price.

Location was nice, really close with the mosque and market are.
Wi-Fi was not working at all when we're coming there and i heard hasn't work for few weeks.
The Air Conditioner was not working properly and for sure make a lot noice.
The breakfast was much less then I expected.

Big hotel. Looks like an old school building.
Bus dropped us off near here so we decided to stay here for the night.
Cheapest room was in another building. 225.000 per night.
Room was big with 3 beds. Sheets didn't look super clean but were washed so it was fine. They gave us blankets , towels and more sheets.
Bathroom was old
Lots of mosquitoes so be sure to crank up the AC.
Had a good sleep. Good area. And nothing got stolen so it was fine

Staffs were friendly and helpful, especially the receprionist in the evening. A very Jolly bloke.

I Don't recommended this for families or anyone who wants a hassle free nice stay.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Masjid BaitulRahman and the city centre near the main Aceh markets, local and western fast food restaurants such as Pizza Hut, McDonald, night bazaar, banks and government agencies. It is on river front with decent attire, jogging is possible. It is along a not too busy wide road but with regular beca and labi-labi (unique local taxi) services. The hotel has been renovated with deluxe, superior rooms with queen beds ,family and standard rooms with 3-5 beds with a choice of air cons or fans. Thus the rate ranges from Rp 150,000-350,000. Facilities are limited, however TV, hot shower and local breakfast is provided. Coffee shop has internet WiFi. There are meeting rooms for 30,50,90,120 people. Its web site is http://ladinghotelaceh.com and email info@ladinghotelaceh.com.
For Muslims , the masjid conducts talks after suboh and magrib prayer. We enjoyed the fresh juices available especially avacado, terung belanda and mango juice. There are souvenir and religious book shops nearby. A shop for local commercial food products such as dendeng (beef cracker)and aceh coffee is about 10 minute beca ride. The local sponge cake ,ambon is available at a sundry shop at the main roundabout. The tsunami landmarks and museum are interesting and all nearby

We found this place to be overpriced and our room was very basic. The staff were not unfriendly but not really friendly either. We liked being near to the market but found it a hot, long walk to town from the hotel. When we returned to Banda Aceh we stayed in the town and found much better value for money, helpful staff and it was more convenient than this place.

Firstly this is hardly a hotel, its more akin to a hostel, and a bad dirty hostel at that. Mosquitoes everywhere. Cats everywhere. Cat excrement everywhere. My room had water that smelt like sewerage. It took the staff a week to finally mop the balcony which led to our room, which was strewn with left over food and crawling with big black ants. We had to request a blanket for our beds, and they also smelt. It was overwhelmingly uncomfortable.

Spent 1 night in a 3 beds bedroom and 4 beds bedroom (at level 2 ) after our diving trip at Pulau Weh.
The size of the room was ok but smell wasnt so good. Location wise, near to Baitur Rahman mosque, the city center and market. But... we were so unlucky as there were lots and lots of mosquitoes inside both rooms. We cant even sleep the whole night. Need to cover every inches of our skin. Very very disappointed. We wish we could get back our money and find other budget hotels. Hotel61 is much better (stay there on our first day in Banda Aceh).

We had a holiday in Acheh from 29 March 2013 - 1 April 2013. The destination seems unorthodox if compared to usual destinations picked by ordinary family but the main reason why we went there is due to cheap air tickets from Air Asia. For a family of 4 we only pay USD 83 to and fro. Quite a bargain...ok..enough on the intro...

The reason why I chose Lading Hotel is because the hotel looks impressive in the website. But then our horror experience started the moment we opened the door. Let me list it for better understanding:

1) The bedlining are dirty and have hole due to cigarette I assumed...

2) The room air was stale.

3) The hot/cold shower not functioning.

4) The toilet is dirty and looks like is has not been thorughly cleaned ages ago...

5) No proper wardrobe ..what they have is like a boarding school type of wardrobe..

6) TV is hanging from the ceiling by bracket and they don't have remote control. Everytime you want to change the channel you have to step on a chair and change it manually.

7) Plenty of mosquitoes at night. I have to ask for mosquitoes repellant from the receptionist and they gave me a hand pump mosquitoes repellant which I believed no longer exists in Malaysia.:-)

Initially I booked for 3 nights but the next morning I decided that is enough and checkout...
