The place is old if somewhat clean. The bed is lumpy and needs to be changed. The breakfast had cheap food and the coffee was odd tasting. Given the price, I was expecting something better. There are better options in the area for less.

This hotel advertised that room has a balcony but actually it is a compartment with the area around 3X4 ft. Worst still, an outdoor air-con unit was placed and blowing hot air above the so-called balcony. So, it is a balcony with hot air. The air-con inner unit was designed to blow straight on your face no matter how you adjusted the positions of the blower. The air-con also entertained you with a "kukuk" sound all day long. The room is small and the bathroom is even smaller but with most of the basic facilities. The room is clean but with a strong smell of body odor as the cleaner just left the room. I don't think this accommodation is worth the value of money with charges of more than RM120 per night.

De Garden Hotel is located not in the center of the city, but in a local area. This makes it very attractive to eat the local food, when you go out for breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I underestimated this hotel thinking that it's "just another budget hotel" but after staying here for 5 nights I was impressed by the friendly staff and the in-room facilities. In this price range I didn't expect iron and ironing board to be included in the room as well, on top of the usual safe box, hairdryer, minibar, tv (of course), and wifi (very strong signal even from outside of the hotel compound). The location may look a bit dodgy, but the surrounding area is actually safe even if you're wandering around on foot. A supermarket, mini mart, and a few restaurants are within walking distance. During my stay I had no issues with the aircond/shower/parking like some of the previous reviews mentioned. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Other than room's sink and telephone problems that were fixed immediately after complaint, this hotel provided superb staff, clean practical room, good connection tv and many more. Really a value for money to stay here

Friendly front desk, room is clean. Aircon is cold contrary to some other reviews (Tip: check that aircon setting is set to "cool"). Good water pressure and adjustable hot water in bathroom. This hotel located near to butterworth town. Room were clean and decent. The room is hot as their aircond were not cool enough. The service at counter were slow as it took some time to check in. Their breakfast choices were limited to local food. There was a mini market near to the hotel within walking distance, however they close very early at night.

we stayed in this hotel as it was near to the location we wanted to go. overall the room is clean, spacious and comfortable. the staff are friendly too. we did not try the breakfast buffet yet as we had other breakfast plan already but if we go again will definitely try

I went to Butterworth for a meeting and stayed in De Garden for two days. I found De Garden thru internet but I did not book online. Instead I went straight to the hotel and ask whether the is any vacancy. I was in luck. I got a studio room, with a 32 inches TV (Great). The staff was friendly (Great). The parking was open but I feel secure (Great). It is easy for me to go to the location I supposed to be for the meeting. On top of that, what ever time I decide to go, I will still reach the destination within 10 minutes. Nice. The downside is the breakfast. No varieties. I eat "Mee Hoon Goreng" for breakfast for 2 days. Still, the staff friendliness makes me eat the "Mee Hoon Goreng" with ease. I will come back here again but with out breakfast. Besides, there is a lot of stalls and clean restaurant nearby. Furthermore, there is a mosque nearby for Muslim to pray. In summary, I will come back for a studio room (minimum) and without breakfast .…
