Spacious & very clean room, nice balcony. Even though the staff couldnt speak English much, they still friendly, specially is the guy in night shift. Simple breakfast likes another hotel we got in korea.

Due to bad weather we cancelled our hikingplans and wanted to go to a spa instead. Waterpia seemed too expensive, so our host suggested we try Seorak Pine Spa. It was 17.000W pp. The resort is overal plain and simple, but relaxing nontheles. There are no slides, but a simple swimming pool, several hot baths and outdoor baths. There are relaxing steamcabins and saunas. The snackarea was closed, so go after you've eaten something to sustain you for a few hours.

The resort is around 10 minutes' drive to Mt. Seorak park & cable cars. We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit with kitchen. The main bedroom has a double or queen-sized bed with enough room for another korean-style bed on the floor. There are korean-style beds and blankets in the other bedroom's closet. The mini kitchen is complete with an electric range, plates, glasses, dishwashing liquid, and the like. We stayed for only one night at the start of winter, so we didn't really have a chance to look around the resort. There's a heater beneath the floor to keep guests warm. One can always open the glass sliding doors leading out to the balcony if it ever gets too stuffy. Oh, guests are asked to leave their shoes by the door and to walk around the room barefoot. I wasn't very happy with this as the floor didn't look and feel that clean. The bathroom is sorely in need of a renovation. Water collects underneath the tiles and gushes out after each step. It was disgusting. Do bring your own slippers. PROS: * Spacious room(s); * Kitchen plus utensils; * Convenience store at the basement; and * Clean and spacious lobby. CONS: * Staff seems to be unable to communicate in English; * Rooms look old; * Bathroom needs repair and better maintenance; * No shower curtain, bathroom floor gets wet; and * No bath towels provided -- unless you're ok with hand towels. In all the hotels we stayed in Korea, we never had anyone assist us with our luggage. I wonder if it's the culture or just a lack of service.…
