A Classic 50's Mexican Hotel with beautiful grounds and two floors of spa with all the treatments from a great staff. Adjacent to the hotel there are two modern spas owned by the hotel for those who want treatments not offered at the hotel. And also there is a 1930's hot mineral pool and bath house next door owned by...

We come here every year for a week. This place is amazing. We exercise all week and have spa treatments. The people make you feel like family. You can not beat the value. Don't expect the rooms to be the Ritz but everything is super clean. We come home refreshed !

This was my second visit in as many years. The rooms are not luxurious, but are large and well-cleaned. The highlight is the daily massage and beauty treatments on the inclusive spa package. The clientele tends to be a bit older than other spas, women in their 60s and 70s. The exercise classes are geared for that age group and...

Thank you for writing to Tripadvisor about our resort. We hope you were also told that guests are encouraged to change menus to the regular dining room if they wish more variety and that one may always ask for an omelet, tropical fresh fruit and cheese or broiled fish/chicken. There is also a wonderful off site gourmet restaurant at which...

Four days with the girls! That was the fun part. Treatments at the Spa were extremely nice and above average. The food is NOT good and EXTREMELY limited. David and his crew make up by their smiley faces and service. If you are a vegetarian plan on fruit. They say they have 2 restaurants but only one is open when...

Dear Reviewer, We thank you for writing to Tripadvisor. We would like to respond to your comments separately: if you look at our menu, at the bottom it says that one can always order, an omelette, fruit and cheese and often broiled fish or chicken. There are two menus at our resort, and spa guests are allowed to order from...

Try to book a night and the operator insisted in the full package, since I was visiting the water park, did not take it so we arrived at hotel around 17:00 hours and stayed a bit in the room, then decided to go have diner and they only had a fixed menu with four choices instead of a open menu,...

Thank you for visiting our resort. We have two restaurants however one is for those on the spa diet. We also print on our regular menu that one may always order eggs, or a fruit and cheese plate and the head waiter offers broiled fish and chicken. The hotel also has an offsite hacienda based restaurant st which guests get...

The spa in Ixtapan de la Sal is a pleasant remnant from the past - nothing fancy about it, but the spa treatments are superb. This is a place to relax and unwind, between massages, hair treatments, pedi/manicures, facials, etc.

This hotel is not luxurious but it is confortable. You can book your stay and it can include breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those of you with a special diet they have good options. Have been going there for years and then have not been for several years because of the violence that was going on. Looked on the web and thought it was purchased by the Marriott so booked Hotel Rancho San Diego Grand Spa Resort in place of Ixtapan. Am very disappointed now and hope we can return next year.
