I have something to say in regards to the very unpleasant comment that was written about this location. I was there the same day the supposedly Minerva G was there and said the place was dirty. This person used my family as her excuse to write this bad review. This place is not only clean, very comfortable, but also pet...

The only good thing about this place is the location. THERE IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE..!!! The there isn't parking lot. The owner Doesn't know anything about customer service. The owner even Doesn't know What modals are. I'm really disappointment about this place. When I got inside the room, and went to the bathroom the toilet was dirty and also the...

Regrettably the reviewer and the seven companions did not appreciate that we do not permit noisy gatherings late at night. The group was only with us one day and had freshly laundered sheets.

I was scheduled with my brother for one week at hotel Alegria. Had a windsurfing accident about halfway during my stay. With the help of my brother, Peter Orr the owner came to the rescue site and hospital to make sure that we had the right care from the medical staff in the Dominican Republic. It was way beyond his...

We stayed at Hotel Alegria over the Easter weekend, there was a massive stage with music blaring all weekend, we were pleased to be close enough to the action, bars and restaurants but further enough away not to hear it! Very handy having Janet's supermarket a minutes walk away, 4 mins stroll along the beach to the beach restaurants, everything...

I came to love Hotel Alegria during the 2 weeks I spent there in January. Super friendly, with very loving and kind staff, I felt completely at home here. Peter the owner is a great guy and they will neither pressure you nor hassle you to do anything. At the right end of the beach only a short scenic walk...

My friend and I spent 9 enjoyable days at the Hotel Alegria, which I found doing a web search. My friend is quite picky about where she stays, and was very approving of the Hotel. The room was at ground level with a patio equipped with a thatched table and two chairs. Every morning we would be awakened by our...

Thank you for the comprehensive review. The water heater on the jacuzzi has been working, but the controls on the jacuzzi don't make it obvious which button heats up the water. While we have staff on duty 24 hours that can help, I take the point that it would be a good idea to put some clear instructions on the...

The room we had was very small and it didn't have a view. It was very clean and the staff was welcoming. We had a problem with some ants in the bathroom, don't know where they came from. Close to restaurants and the beach! A very party-centric area.

Direct acces to the beach is a plus but during high tide, you will not be able to enter this portion of the beach as the waves roll right up the hotel boundary. Comfortable studios that somehow manage to stay cool with just a fan. The jacuzzi is also a fun alternative when you're beached out. Great location in relation...

You would be staying within feet of the beach on the quiet end of the bay. Tons of surfers and kite boarders and wind boarders here enjoying the ocean breezes. This hotel has a cool roof top deck with a great view. The rooms were nice and a great value at $40 a night.
