We recently had an 8 day stay at the Costa Caribe Coral by Hilton and were slightly disappointed. This hotel is not Hilton quality. Our room was dirty and the staff was not great at communicating with Americans, which made it hard to complain. The resort was pretty, so if you get a good deal on this hotel, it may...

My husband and I went for our honeymoon here and could not wait to return home. 12 out of 14 days were ill with constant stomache cramps sickness and diarrhoea, the food was dreadful i cut into a piece of chicken that had blood in it, the 24 hour take away bar was not 24 hour and often just offered...

We stayed at the hotel over a long weekend. We had no problems at all. The bottled water in the room was free, as were two sodas and two beers each day. Whoever was charged for them should have simply presented the concierge with his check-in paperwork...it's written there in black and white. The food on the buffet was not...

After my recent visit to the Costa Caribe it was essential that I write this review of the hotel. Yes, it was a last minute bargain to a 3* hotel & I wish that people who have written previous reviews remember that maybe they was hoping for 5* at 3* price! Well, in my opinion it was somewhere between. The...

"coral costa caribe" is definatley "the hotel from hell". we arrived the 19th September 2005 with all the reviews in mind and yes , all the bad reviews are right. All the rooms have been broken into:- had to set traps with cups and saucers as the patio doors wouldn't lock due to the damage. Front door was loose and...

My wife and I went with our families and had booked 4 rooms in total. We were all hugely disappointed. You may think I'm exaggerating, but I am not. The food was awful (cheapest ingredients, poorly cooked), the service was lousy (they had messed up our reservations upon check-in and tried to turn us away at 2am!). There were no...

My husband and I went to the Costa Caribe on our honeymoon in August. We had a fabulous time. There were a few problems, but the staff was so friendly and helpful that everything was smoothed over quickly. They had lost our honeymoon upgrade upon arrival, but that was straightened out by the end of the second day by the...

We arrived from England having booked through Thomson Travel expecting a 3 star hotel and location. The first impression of the hotel frontage was of a tired looking building in need of maintenance and a large rather sparse entrance lobby. Our booking in did not take too long and luggage was fairly quickly taken to our room. The room, with...

My husband and I took my sister and brother in law there for their honeymoon (june 2003). This was our first trip together out of the country and I do have to say that once you step off the resort grounds, things were a little scary but we did some shopping, ate lobster down the street that would have fed...

Upon arriving to this resort we walked in only to see a million local Dominican's with many, many children. It was nice to see Dominican's but the resort was extremly overcrowded and loud. The pool was overflooded with screaming children. The resort's private beach area is as small as my foot and that's not very big. The whole experience was...
