We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Christine the owner was a welcoming and so considerate host. The comfiest bed, tasty breakfast, all in a house in a beautiful setting, with two enthusiastic and friendly dogs always available for a walk in the fields or down to the riverbank. Would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a superb 2 night stay here. The old house is beautifully cared for, and the rooms are well decorated, very spacious, warm and cosy. We were made to feel very welcome, and loved the relaxed feel to the place, including being allowed to walk the owners dogs along the river! Add in a comfy bed and great breakfast and we left feeling very relaxed. We hope to be back soon!

This is a very Special Hotel. We stay in many Hotels each year, we were made to feel like Friends staying at Burnhope. This Listed House has been furnished in keeping with its period . All the House is Stunning .we had a very large room with ultramodern bathroom . The food was well presented of high quality. The setting of Burnshope is in extensive grounds as well as its location is perfect. The Owner ( Christine ) was a excellent host, always on hand to make our stay Perfect. We stayed three nights and hope to go back sometime.
