There is not much more to stay other than The Phulay Bay Resort and Spa is just amazing.
From the time you arrive to when the team wave you goodbye, you will be treated like royalty and leave like family.
Our personal butler Khun Sam was so friendly and was always there when we needed her, she was never in your space.
We stayed not long after the lock down ceased and the resort had just re opened, the team did an amazing job of keeping the resort in immaculate condition whilst closed.
Whilst some of the restaurants were closed due to the low occupancy, they did offer the Thai and Western menu , always plenty of variety, must mention the Thai food was delicious.
The team at the Sunset Bar were super friendly and knew how to shake up delicious cocktails as you watch the amazing sunsets that Krabi delivers every day, just beautiful and ever changing.
The accommodation is off the charts, we stayed in a Royal Villa which is approx 650 sqm in size inside and out and the bed was the side of 2 king beds and the private pool over looking the bay was amazing.
A stay at Phulay Bay is not complete without a visit to the spa, excellent treatments and the rooms stunning.
If your up to it I can recommend the Thai Boxing class, gets the adrenaline pumping before you lay back and enjoy the scenery laying by the expansive pool, oh by the way I must mention the team at the pool, so attentive and the quality and consistency of the poolside food was always excellent - thanks team.
Thank you to the Phulay Bay team for a wonderful stay, we loved it so much we booked to stay again before we left our last stay, see you in October.

Dear travellingisus, We are grateful for the time that you took to share a review of your stay at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. I am excited to read about your experience right after you arrived into our property, your royal villa and most of all about your butler Khun Sam who is truly one of our legendary bulers here in Phulay Bay. It would be a delight for me to pass on your recognition of the service and care that Khun Sam provided during your stay. Our ladies and gentlemen would be extremely happy to hear your feedback on Sunset Bar, Pool Service, Thai Boxing class, the exceptional food. Indeed we love our guests to be treated like royalty and leave like family. Thank you for this wonderful comment . We are looking forward to welcoming you back. Best Wishes, Vidya Sagar Director of Operations. Hopefully, we can welcome you both back here in the not-so-distant future. Thank you once again for staying with us. Kind regards,

From the moment we entered the beautiful estate till the time we left, we have never been more impressed with the service, and the great attention of detail every single staff at the Ritz had.
From personal butlers to different local snacks in your room everyday to prompt housekeeping- there was truly nothing to be unhappy about.
Check in and check out was right at the room and it truly feels like home away from home. It was truly amazing to be here and we will definitely return to this little paradise again!
P/S. They have the largest bed and bathtub ever!

This is one of the best experience in any Ritz Carlton Property so far! From the start till the end of the stay we were amazed by the warm welcome that we received from the staff. The hotel is very meaningfully built for the guests and the preservation of the reserve as explained by the staff.
The villa we stayed in was spacious and had a pool included. I was fascinated by the HUGE bed as it could fit my family of four very comfortably and the luxurious bathroom. Valentin Cherepov and his team helped us to upgrade our room in our stay. The rooms were always cleaned very nicely and sometimes with even a few surprises—like the flower petal bath arranged by the housekeeping team. There was a wide variety of restaurants which always presented us dishes which would exceed our expectations. Our personal favourite location in the reserve was the sunset beach as it was fun to spend time with our family and get some drinks from the bar while watching the sunset.
Overall, this experience wouldn’t have happened without our Butler, HABIB .. He helped navigate and drive us around the reserve, recommended the many activities in and out of the reserve, and also happily helped us coordinate with the kitchen for some recipes we requested for! He was always there for anything we needed with the hotel with a smile on his face.
And also many thanks to the general manager, Vidhya Sagar, who was always there to check in with our family on how we’re doing!
This was overall a 10/10 experience and I would definitely go there again the next time I get the chance!

When I booked Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in August, there was a promotion called "Double Upgrade with Triple Delights" for stay up to October 2020. As such, I decided to book a stay for 2 nights and was upgraded to the Beach Villa. From the time we arrived at the resort, the security guard was on his toes to welcome us. In fact, when we were at the arrival pavilion or Sala Srichan, we were greeted by Mr. Anthony Smekens, the General Manager of Phulay Bay and was introduced to members of his staff, including Tanya our butler. Tanya is a magnificent butler as she is very attentive to every single details and made our stay very pleasant. We were definitely treated like a VIP. Check-in and check-out was done in our villa. Our Beach Villa is located near the beach and facing the sea. We have our own swimming pool. The size of our villa is so huge with more than 400sq metre in size. There is an oversize bathtub and a separate bathroom. We spent the entire time in our room, enjoying the facilities of the villa. This is more so when it rained throughout our 3 days stay. Breakfast was superb so much so that we spent about 2 hours enjoying the buffet and sparkling wine! We also tried the Luxury Signature Body Massage. Prior to our treatment, with the advise from Tanya, we went to the Spa an hour earlier to use other facilities at the Spa such as the aromatherapy steam room, outdoor vitality pool, sauna and relaxation room. Thanks to our butler, Tanya for making all the arrangement for us. All we had to do is just to show up at the waiting area at the specific time of appointment and Tanya was there to send us to the Spa with the buggy cart. After we were done with our treatment, again Tanya was already there waiting for us to send us back to our room. It is really a perfect getaway in a perfect resort! Unfortunately, we were not able to try all the outdoor facilities due to the rain. The common swimming pool is rather big. Staff who met us along the way while we were walking in the resort grounds greeted us as soon as they saw us. You can tell that everyone was well trained as they approached us and asked if we needed any help or even a buggy cart to bring us to where we were headed. This is what luxury concept is all about...service in mind besides having a great product. My friend and I were really happy with our stay and the service that we received. If you are looking for a fantastic vacation, this is the place to be! Thank you Tanya for making our stay a memorable and enjoyable one! We have been talking about how wonderful our stay at Phulay Bay was with all our friends and hope to return again in the future.

Dear Khun Jessica and friend, Thank you very much for your amazing review and feedback of your recent stay with us. It gives us great pleasure and joy to read your lines. This is precisely what our team of Ladies and Gentlemen strive to achieve every single day; to create memorable and very personalized experiences for all our guests. I was happy to welcome you to Phulay Bay personally at Sala Srichan. As you have experienced, we do not have any reception counters, nor concierge counters nor typical lobby space. All the services, from check in, check out, concierge and others are done directly inside your villa, in privacy and personally with your Butler. Khun Tanya is an integral part of the Phulay Bay Family and we're so proud to have her leading our team of Butlers. I will convey your review to her as it will definitely make her very happy. I'm also glad that you highlight our breakfast offering at the Resort. During this period, we decided to go the extra mile and have extended our Breakfast service and offering until 13:00, in the early afternoon. So even on a rainy or relaxing lazy day, time passes by comfortably once you reach our Breakfast venue. Thank you for the positive word of mouth and for recommending Phulay Bay to all your friends, colleagues and family. We look forward to welcome you all in a near future. Warm regards, on behalf of the entire team. Anthony Smekens General Manager Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

It’s difficult to find an element of our stay that we could criticise… we stayed for 5 nights in beach villa 3 in March with our 19m son.
pickup in the vellfire van - complete with fresh orange juice, cold towels and a playlist compiled prior to your arrival the pick up was seamless.
Arrival on the propert was just amazing, once you step through the enterance it’s as though you are entering another dimension.. the architecture alone is awe inspiring.
The staff are wonderful, Thai hospitality, great attitudes, the RC training — all come together to provide a faultless experience for guests.
Yid, our personal butler, is a credit to the Brand. Nothing was too much trouble, he had great recommendations for the local area, ensured that any concern was handled without fuss. Everything you would want in a butler and more! Ask for Yid if you visit!! You won’t be sorry.
All the other staff throughout the property were simply brilliant.
The food is DELICIOUS. We were quite disappointed with other luxury hotel stays throughout Thailand on this occasion, the food was very westernised, but not here. Absolutely delicious, authentic meals.
Can’t wait to visit again with the family!
Okkk.. I thought of one negative.. there’s no beach, but you you would know that prior to booking! Pool is huge!

Dear Khun Jeordie and family, Thank you for staying with us last month, and for this beautiful and very helpful review. We value your feedback a lot and helps us understand the needs and wishes of our guests. I'm glad to know that you enjoyed your stay. We're blessed with our surroundings, land and architecture. Our designer, Lek Bunnag has created the arrival pavilions for this exact purpose: to transform guests into a new dimension: The Ritz-Carlton Reserve! I will pass along your positive comments to Khun Yid, your personal Butler. He will certainly be happy to read your words, as this means so much for him in his career in hospitality. For the beach experience, we offer daily complimentary 20min boat trips to the natural reserve of Koh Hong Island. As we're located at closest proximity to this paradise beach, it allows our guests to be the first persons to step on this virgin island in the early morning. An experience I recommend to everybody! Thank you again for this lovely online review. We do look forward to welcome your family anytime in the future! Warm regards, Anthony Smekens General Manager

What can one say? This has to be one of the most amazing resorts on the planet let alone Thailand and absolutely optimizes what a Ritz Carlton Resort is.
The local scenery is amazing and if you hire a speed boat to go to explore some of the islands you will not be disappointed. A one day private boat hire through the hotel was BHT31,000...that was for nearly 8 hours on the boat with snorkeling. Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lay are a must!
Hong Island is good for a sunset cruise on a Thai long boat..and the hotel will provide a picnic basket with food & wine.
The hotel has an amazing Thai restaurant as well as a seafood focused restaurant and a restaurant providing International cuisine.
The in-room butler service is wonderful and the fact the butler is available to take on to and from the restaurants etc., is wonderful as it is a very spread out property.
Luxury...yes, but worth every penny!!

Dear Robertsngl, Warm greetings from Krabi and thank you for your review earlier this year. We're happy that you could still stay with us in this early 2020- and that you can keep good memories from your time here, in paradise! Thank you very much for all the details described. We're indeed blessed to be located in such an amazing environment. To be in the heart of the Andama Sea, and at short speedboat distance away from the Hong Island, Phi Phi Island and many more, is a huge advantage for staying at Phulay Bay. Our famous Butler service is another highlight that I'm glad you enjoyed. The team enjoys serving all our guests and when they get recognized for it in a review like yours, it motivates them and fills them with happiness. So thank you again for taking your time to review us, and looking forward to welcome you back from 2021 onwards then! Warm regards, Anthony Smekens General Manager

Words cannot describe how extraordinary this place is. Thus, please be noted that expressing my stay by writing this review won’t do any justice to Phulay Bay, a Ritz Carlton Reserve. In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic that disrupted Thailand’s tourism ,I had a chance to celebrate my birthday party along with a group of my closest friends at a Royal Villa at a reachable price. The panoramic view of the Andaman ocean right from the villa is simply phenomenon. The villa’s design and interior are unrealistic, given that I’ve stayed in many luxury resort properties, still I haven’t seen anything like this. The bespoke butler service is well-organized. I would like to thank Khun Yid and Khun Sam who made our stay most memorable. A Thai restaurant called Sri Trang is highly recommend, as a Thai-born, I can assure that the food is authentic. The Spa is also very impressive, both therapists and spa property, i felt much rejuvenated after the treatment was done. Lastly, I would like to thank Khun Nan, a reservation agent who did everything she can to make our trip happen, and also all the other staffs, their service dedication is much appreciated.

I would say go to the Ritz Carlton if you fancy it. There is nothing that should put you off in terms of the service, staff or location (if you are happy without a beach).
Food was excellent. The executive chef was a delight and very engaged and engaging. We had one small problem with a meal and he was mortified and took a very professional interest in our eating for the duration of our stay which certainly enhanced the visit.
Staff were perfection. Just Thai delightful but not fawning – great people. The pool area is stunning (albeit maybe a little tired) with huge space to find your own nook.
Me? I was slightly weirded out by the strange purple arrival pavilions. All very cool but not very welcoming. I guess it is the hallmark of a retreat rather than a resort. Then the purple continued through all the buildings and I determined I really didn’t like it.
Our room (upgraded thank you) was a great space but difficult (for me) to be comfortable in. Outside we had a lounging bed with no back and two very large triangular cushions which in my experience look great but fail to support. The dining chairs had no cushions on the back. The huge bed took up too much space meaning the internal seating area was mean. And on this (mad) bed clearly you are meant to look out to the view but for us it was better to sleep portrait rather than landscape as it meant easy access in and out. The bathroom … well not sure where to start. The whole is a triumph of style over substance and probably more fitted to Dubai than Thailand. Very much a matter of personal taste however and I am sure some would love it.

Just came back from a two and half weeks vacation in Thailand. This Ritz Carlton Reserve is the best overall resort/hotel I stayed during my vacation. The other 5 star resort/hotel I stayed this time including Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, Banyan Tree Bangkok, W Koh Samui, RC Koh Samui.
From welcome in Sala Srichan, to in-room check in, to pool and food/beverage service, to transportation service, etc, my whole family was totally satisfied with. All staff are so nice and polite, literally every one we met in resort. Even the gardener, landscaper, cleaning maid, etc, will smile and greeting you and give you the right of the way whenever they see you.
My Butler Mon is very diligent and helpful, she arranged free hotel van send us to dinner at local restaurant on last night without our asking.
We appreciated that we got a room upgrade even without asking. The room is very unique designed in good way. Very impressed by ultra high ceiling with signature skylights in almost every space.
The resort was very quite but the staff’s working are very efficient, anytime we call a buggy, it comes in 3 minutes except once we called at the pool restaurant, it came too late so we decide walk back to our room and met the buggy on our we back. That’s the only time.
We had a dinner in Jampoon, ordered Seafood Platter. It is huge and delicious. It could feed more than two persons.
The food at the Plai Fah, pool side restaurant is very good too. The TomYum wood oven pizza and Phad Kaprao Gai are must try. Mas and Alif gave the best service not only for the food and beverage, and also for the day bed and loungers setup.
Our driver of the hotel VIP van to Phuket Airport was as nice as all other staffs, not just carry all our luggage on and off, also get the cart for us at the airport.
We booked complimentary Hong Island half day trip. It is a very nice touch by the resort. There is a 360 degree viewing platform on top of the island, you could see almost all beautiful islands in Phang Nga bay and Krabi. The beach on island has very fine sand and very beautiful. Resort arranged one staff accompanied us and helped carry all towels and waters along the way, and even our own beach bag. Perfect service and sorry about didn’t ask for his name.
Overall,as one of five only Ritz Carlton Reserve property’s, Phulay Bay is the best resort I ever stayed in Thailand with no doubt. You won’t be disappointed.

Just got back from a 6 night stay at Phulay Bay, and am lost for words! It was certainly beyond my imagination… we stayed at the Royal Beach Villa (Villa 33), which was Ginormous! The bed was huge and super comfortable, there was a large pool for those lazy afternoon swims, and my favourite feature was a luxurious sunken bath pavilion which overlooked the magnificent scenery..
Apart from the spectacular room amenities, the service was also top-notch. M our Butler was ever the consummate professional. Not only was he incredibly friendly and perpetually cheerful, he also rendered immediate assistance when we faced any issues. For example, my son was attacked by monkeys on Monkey Island.. M coordinated with the hospital and the tour agency so that everything went smoothly.. he also ensured that the tour agency’s insurance covered everything, so that we didn’t have to pay a cent for medicine and medical treatment.
The GM was also the hardest working manager I have ever seen in a resort. He appeared everywhere, knew everyone’s names and ensured that we were having a great time always.
Special shout out also to Raiya at the spa. Without asking, she set up beautiful candles, flower petals all around the treatment room, and even prepared an extravagant bubble bath jacuzzi for me with extra treatment time. I was bowled over not only by her excellent massage skills but also her warmth and hospitality.
We also really enjoyed the other offerings in the hotel, such as Muay Thai at the gym with Rote, and the delicious popcorn station at the beach bar with numerous toppings to choose from.
A slight downside I can think of is that the breakfast selection was quite limited and by the 2nd day, we were already bored by the food. Room service food was also quite average . Also, it is quite far from the rest of Krabi, so a taxi to go to say the morning market costs about 900 baht.
Nonetheless, this was indeed a trip of a lifetime.. having had the privilege of staying at other world class hotels around the world like the Aman, Four Seasons, Rosewood, and Six Senses, I can safely say that Phulay Bay is right up there, if not better than these cream of the crop hotels. I don’t usually do repeat stays at the same hotel given that there’s so much to see of the world at large, but for Phulay Bay I will make an exception. We are already planning our next trip back.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm guessing by now you have already decided. We have stayed in both the Ritz and Banyan Tree. They are both beautiful but we prefer the more space and facilities of The Ritz Carlton. We have already stayed there twice this year (2024). I don't think we'll return to the Banyan Tree. While it too is quite beautiful the rooms aren't as nice and the layout of the resort is more challenging to navigate (small thing I know) but the Ritz operate at a higher level in all areas but price. Enjoy Krabi.
I would say that it is pretty quiet at night. As for the beach, we were only there for a couple of nights and never had the chance to make it to the beach. I hope this helps.
yes they have
Before you go to the Ritz-Carlton, there is 7Eleven Shop and you should stop to the shop to buy all things you need then go to the hotel. Because the hotel is located quite far from the shop. Alternative by rent motorcycle around there or ask the hotel then you can ride any time.
