Nestled on a tranquil beachfront, Amari Vogue Krabi is admired for its serene ambiance and cozy atmosphere, with guests often commending the variety of amenities such as pools and a spa, despite some concerns over worn furnishings. The hotel's picturesque location is celebrated, although it's noted for being somewhat remote from town centers. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and views, criticisms include dampness and outdated decor. Guests have lauded the attentive service but feel the hotel falls short on value, pointing to high costs for dining and additional services.

Good hotel set on one of the best beaches in Krabi. Sunsets here were amazing and you are about 20 minutes outside of Ao Nang, £12 taxi each way. There is also a closer small village area on Klong Muang beach only. £6 taxi which has numerous restaurants. Having visited both of these I would only return and stay on Tubkaak beach, along this beach there are a few other hotels with a couple of restaurants as well. Amari is a good option for the price, breakfast sufficient, food was ok. We felt better at other places. Spa was lovely, I had a really excellent massage. All staff are super friendly. Our room initially was not great but they immediately sorted this and we had a lovely room for duration of stay. A couple of small things, like common areas/furniture needing a clean or looking a bit worn, same as in the room but no big deal. The biggest problem is sunbeds. There are not enough when hotel is at capacity with a lot of guests reserving beds from 7am and then not turning up to use them until 11am or later! Despite there being a sign about reserving the beds the staff don’t enforce this and remove towels and this is something they need to get better at. We would sit there some mornings for hours with all the beds empty just reserved by towels and it wasn’t fair to other guests turning up to sit down.

This is a very special hotel, we have stayed many times. Why? -

The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning, from the beach front setting you will see spectacular sunsets.
The standards here just seem to get better and better. We will never tire of a cocktail in the open air bar at sunset, the tranquility, the amazing service, the beautful turn down service each night.
It is a very quiet hotel and feels almost private. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. A mango shake served around the unique pool is a rare treat.
The Spa is serene and quite sensibly priced for a 5 star hotel, so much so we noticed guests from the hotel next door popping in to use the Spa!

There are a couple of local restaurants but we find the food at Marco's both international and Thai such good quality that we never eat outside the hotel now.
New this year is BBQ evening (every other night I think). NZ lamb chops, Aussie steak and fresh sea food all cooked to order right in front of you.

Three nights a week the resident musicians play such a variety of international music that even gets people dancing. Thank you Julien and Jeroen.

The staff are trained to a very high standard here, it means nothing to TA readers to list a load of names. They are all special without exception.

Thank you to everyone at Amari Vogue and we will see you again next year.

I stayed with my family for 3 days. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.
It is beautiful, everything is very clean. Staff are friendly.
It's far from the center, so if you like hustle and bustle, it might not be the best place. For those who like peace and quiet and enjoying a beach with warm, calm water, this is the right place.
The rooms are spacious and beautiful, with everything brand new.
Salon hairdryer, they provide beach flip flops and a beach bag.
The breakfast is wonderful, very complete (for those who are not used to breakfast food, there are many options).
I believe that for those who have mobility difficulties it is a more difficult place as there are many stairs.
The beach in front is wonderful, it is right on the sand. You just need to be careful with the ants when you settle in the sand.
I thought there were few employees for the beach and pool area, but nothing that would make your day bad.
The pools are nice.
The restaurant's food is very tasty too. We had dinner there twice.
As it is further away, you can go to a restaurant right on the sand and go along the sand and that's what we did, super easy and no need to wait for a taxi or other transport.
They leave free bottles of water in the room and coffee sachets, as well as a thermos to heat the water.
I loved it and would definitely go back.

Oppressive structure, it feels like being in an apartment complex; the balconies face an interior garden that, while scenic, is very narrow. We could see other rooms, and others could see us—it felt like a condo in Milan. The entire hotel is non-smoking, including the balconies; there are no designated smoking areas anywhere, and you have to go outside. If it rains, the ashtray is not covered, and you get wet. Customer service seems optional; everyone is treated like a number. Our "luxury" room was down a corridor, almost like a basement. The restaurant does not focus on Thai cuisine; it offers a mix of international dishes with limited choices, and there isn’t a single Thai liquor on the drinks menu. The beach is very small and windy, and the rooms are damp and quite gloomy. The only positive note was the chef, who was incredibly kind and cooked the fish we caught, and the restaurant staff. The rest is forgettable. Nakamanda Resort forever!

The Amari Vogue is located on a beautiful sandy beach with wonderful views of islands. The hotel is situated on a steep slope which adds to its location, and is st in lovely gardens.

We opted for a deluxe room which was perfect with a ground floor veranda. The room was an excellent size and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and large bathroom with walk in shower. We were b & b and the breakfast options were incredible including local dishes.

We only had our evening meal in the hotel once, the rest of the time we eat outside either at the nearby beach restaurant which was good and only a 10 minute walk away.
We also hired a car which was very reasonable and delivered to the hotel for 2 days. We eat twice at the dragons view restaurant which has simply amazing views and serves decent food. I would recommend a visit here.
If you have transport the location of the hotel is great and the beach is not full of hawkers and longtail boats.
Trips to nearby islands and attractions are available from the agent in the lobby and while a bit more expensive, insurance is included! So buyer beware.

Other reviewers have complained about the availability of sunbeds but we never had a problem.

Staff at the hotel were great, being attentive and polite. The spa is also excellent and subject of a separate review. The manager Isaac was also friendly and interested in guests views.

I would definitely visit again, we had a great time.

The Amari Vogue Hotel stands out primarily for its stunning location, about 20 minutes from Ao Nang. If you’re looking for peace and want to enjoy nature, this could be a good choice. However, several aspects might diminish the experience.

One major downside is the room quality. Cleanliness is lacking, and the furnishings feel extremely uninspired and somewhat outdated. The hotel does not deliver the high standards expected from a five-star establishment – the food is expensive but neither well-presented nor particularly remarkable.

Another issue is the number of guests. There are too many people, including many children, yet not enough sun loungers, making it difficult to find a comfortable spot to relax.

On the positive side, the staff is mostly friendly, with only a few exceptions.

Conclusion: If you prioritize a breathtaking location and can overlook some flaws, you might still have a pleasant stay. However, those expecting a true five-star experience with attention to detail may be disappointed.

Dear Dobrila T, Thank you very much for choosing Amari Vogue Krabi and for taking the time to share your valuable comments with us! We are very happy to know that you found the hotel conveniently located and that you enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful beach of the resort. We are very disappointed to know that we have fell short on various touchpoints in the resort. We assure you that we take pride in ensuring that the room cleanliness is our outmost priority for all of our guests and cleanliness around the resort too. I will take note on the furnishing feedback and ensure that it provide "thai-inspired, cultural heritage design that will complement the resort architecture. With regards of the sun loungers, we have taken appropriate measures to ensure the comfort of all of our guests while also ensuring that amount of sun loungers located at the beachfront is within reasons given the fact that all the beach in Thailand are control by the local authorities. We are very grateful that you have taken the time to share detailed feedback with us. This gives us an opportunity to retrace our steps and make the necessary changes in order to ensure our valued guests' expectations are exceeded in each and every interaction. On behalf of the team, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused and rest assured that we will take necessary actions to ensure improvements. We look forward to having another opportunity in the near future to regain your trust in our service during your next visit and do reach out to me directly so we can prepare something nice on your future arrival! Lovely quiet location with direct access to the beach. A few bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk along the beach and local taxi can take you to slightly busier location for only a couple of pounds. Hotel was very nice, well maintained and clean, our only grumble being the price of things within the hotel, particularly drinks and laundry.

Tub Kaek Beach is a breathtaking location, offering serenity and beauty far from the usual crowds. Unfortunately, the hotel fails to live up to the potential of its surroundings, leaving much to be desired in terms of comfort and design.

Sun Lounges: A Major Flaw

One of the key activities at any beach resort is lounging by the water and enjoying the view. At this hotel, however, the sun lounges are a complete disappointment. Not only are they poorly designed, making it nearly impossible to lie on them without slipping, but there also aren’t enough of them. This design flaw results in a frustrating experience where guests are seen constantly adjusting themselves, turning from side to side in search of comfort. It’s baffling how such a small but significant detail can ruin the enjoyment of the otherwise stunning beachfront.

Rooms vs. Architecture: A Jarring Contrast

While the rooms themselves are pleasant and the bathrooms are excellent, the overall hotel architecture is peculiar and uninviting. Built on a narrow strip of land, the property feels overly decorated and cluttered, creating an overwhelming environment. Instead of fostering relaxation, the layout feels cramped and chaotic, detracting from the natural beauty of the location.

The facilities, apart from the rooms, are in dire need of investment. Everything looks worn and rough around the edges, which further diminishes the hotel’s appeal.

The Pool: Decorative, Not Functional

The pool design is another letdown. It seems more like a decorative feature than a proper swimming pool. It’s poorly designed, cramped, and doesn’t allow for a relaxing or enjoyable experience. Considering the setting, the pool could have been a highlight, but it ends up being yet another misstep in the hotel’s design.

Staff and Management: A Mixed Experience

On a positive note, the staff are excellent. They are friendly, smiley, and go out of their way to be helpful. Unfortunately, this level of service doesn’t extend to management. I had an exceptional request and reached out to the resort manager, but they didn’t bother to respond. Even a polite rejection would have been appreciated, but the lack of communication left a sour impression.

Conclusion

While Tub Kaek Beach is an extraordinary location, this hotel squanders its potential with poor design choices, underwhelming facilities, and a lack of attention to detail. The staff’s hospitality is a bright spot, but it’s not enough to offset the hotel’s shortcomings. With proper investment and better management, this property could become a true gem, but for now, it falls far short of expectations.

We are just finishing a five nights stay at the Amari Vogue and I wanted to write a detailed review to help anyone who may be considering booking here.

The resort and hotel are absolutely beautiful with the beach and sea one of the best I have experienced. It is 20 minutes/£15 taxi ride to the centre of Ao Nang, although other than to drive through, we did not go there. Our travel agency recommended Tubkaek as a much quieter and more exclusive area.

The rooms are outstanding, kept immaculately clean every day with excellent AC and the layout of the hotel means it it is very quiet in each room (we stayed in 5302). Due to lack of availability, we booked a twin room but the hotel kindly zipped the two doubles together and we had the most fabulous super super King.

There was a great selection at breakfast which runs until 10:30 am. We did not bother with lunch and for dinner we ate a couple of times in the hotel restaurant and a couple of times we walked 10 minutes along the beach where there is one beach bar (Tubkeak seafood) where the food is cheaper than in the hotel as you would expect.

We did one trip organised by the hotel Tourdesk which was to James Bond Island. It was a great day but very long and we were in a minivan for five hours return so please be prepared. The tour desk manager was very helpful and informative.

Another day we got up early and hired a long tail boat at 7.30am from one of the vendors on the beach and he took us to Hong Islands. This was the highlight of our trip as it was completely quiet when we got there and having the boat to ourselves meant we could do our own thing all morning. I would thoroughly recommend this. For two of us it was 2900 baht including the national Park entrance fee.

The only thing that lets the hotel down is the lack of sunbeds in the shade. The adjacent hotels have a lot more natural shade from the trees and we struggled each day to find shade and a retreat from the extreme heat. I would urge the hotel to add more umbrellas on the beachfront area as this was a real frustration.

The other thing was the drinks prices. The bar was empty and devoid of any atmosphere most of the time unlike bars in the adjacent hotels and this seems to be purely because the prices are too high. There was a happy hour for sunset where the views were spectacular, but this was restricted to reductions on a handful of drinks. The bar area itself is stunning and if the prices were reduced, I’m convinced it would be full every night. In addition the hotel adds 10% service and 7% government tax to every advertise price.

Having traveled to other parts of Thailand for the past two weeks this has been a wonderful relaxing few days and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel provided you are aware of the couple of issues I have mentioned.

The location of Amari Vogue is perfect. It is beautifully set on the beach. The pool is great, the beach is great and it was not difficult to get sunbeds as it is quite quiet. If you are looking for a peaceful time this is the hotel for you.

There is so much food choice at Marcos restaurant that you really do not need to leave the hotel and the staff are amazing - they will do anything for you.
Great entertainment every other night.

The location is slightly too far from town with taxis a little more expensive compared to other places in Thailand. But the food was so good here we didn’t really need to leave. The website does state that there is 2 restaurants however only 1 is open during the day and evening so this is incorrect.

Our room was really nice however there was insect problems. Ensure that you come prepared, we wore repellent every day and one night I was bitten 13 times. We do not know if it was the room or due to the restaurant being next to the beach. The fridge was also not cold.

Overall would definitely stay again.
