Stay away!! Im Dominican leaving in the US for the last 25 years and to me is a desgracie to be in a place like this . Rooms very outdated and im paying for a premium room ( love garden room) and even with all the extras is just the worst experience I have had in Punta Cana. What made it even worse is that they know the problem and do not care about it. Very poor customer service. Look at different options, you will thank me later!

We had a shorter stay in this fantastic hotel, next time we will plan more time here. It was a very nice experience, all the staff was very friendly and really transfered the dominican way of life. The rooms were clean and had enough space for our family.

For starters, our room smelt like mold the whole time we were there. We asked to change rooms and there were none available. The sink leaked right onto the floor and the showerhead literally flew off when pressure was applied from the water. None of it was fixed, while we were there. But the one thing I'm most mad about is being scammed. I used the atm at the resort to grab some cash to buy some gifts. I was not able to complete a transaction. But to my surprise my credit card and debit card information were both stolen. They had somehow got my pin and card information. I believe it was through a atm skimmer. Asked the front desk about it and they said there was nothing the could do and to call my bank. This place is a SCAM. There is much more to list but i don't want to wast any more of my time on this poophole.

Some words to describe the property - Rude Staff, Stale (yes actually stale) food at the buffet restaurants. Impossible to get any reservations at the restaurants without bribing the staff (I have text evidence), good luck on securing a good room. Only plus point is that the beach is really good and the property is spread out over a huge area with lots to do.

I arrived here with simple expectations, having visited numerous resorts across the Caribbean. However, the breakfast and dinner buffet are incredibly unsanitary, with rampant cross-contamination evident. Meat from the grill all tastes like fish, even when it shouldn't. Despite my background in restaurants and kitchens, it's clear they're not cleaning their surfaces properly. Burgers are often undercooked, bread is stale, and the bar service is painfully slow, with a 20-minute wait for a simple espresso.While the room is spacious, it's filthy and rundown. The door keeps locking us out, there were beer cans under the bathroom sink attracting flies, none of the plugs work properly, and the shower floods due to corroded brackets and magnets. The toilet smells terrible, and the room wasn't even made up by 4 PM one day. Additionally, the room fridge leaks water.Despite the great grounds, the resort is too large, making it a hassle to grab shuttles.Both my wife and I work in aviation, and her airline heavily promotes this hotel. It's disheartening to see people paying $9000 for a family of four for such subpar conditions.I'm not one to complain like this, but this place truly ruined our once-a-year trip. Save up and go somewhere else. Even though I used to think negative reviewers were entitled, they were right. Plus, forget about finding beach or pool chairs unless you're willing to wake up at 5 AM to reserve them, which isn't my style.

Preface this review by saying we have been to many resorts from sandals, dreams, azul in Punta Cana, Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, and this is the first one we went to which is a mega resort setup. The last resort we went to was Dreams Bavaro Punta Cana in 2022 (loved this one). We prefer boutique resorts however we will make the most of it where ever we go and aren’t super picky but I want to give a fair and detailed review as I was quite worried when we booked this one based on the reviews we saw but was prepared since we ready so many reviews before going. We went with 3 other families including one senior couple, teenagers and younger kids. We had to consider every families’ price points and had limitations for resorts and locations due to flights from certain cities so took a chance and booked here but it wasn’t our first choice. Food: 6.5/10 hit and miss, a decent variety. Dinner buffet and a la carte Restaurants are dispersed throughout each resort, and reservations are required for a la carte. Breakfast and lunch restaurants were buffets and there was one each in all 3 resorts but they weren’t all always open so you had to walk to the other resorts for lunch or breakfast sometimes. Service was slow sometimes due to the buffets being busy. The servers are nice and courteous. Highly recommend making reservations as soon as you get there the same day otherwise you’ll late really late reservations or none at all. Book at the reception and make sure you take your confirmation ticket otherwise they might say your reservation isn’t there, it was busy that night and that almost happened to us but I showed them our name on the list. Rooms: 6/10 we liked the buildings only having 8 rooms in each villa (4 at the top and 4 at the bottom). There are no elevators. We had no issues but for people who can’t use or have difficult with stairs, suggest asking for a room on the lower level. Rooms are really, really dated, bathrooms were moldy (I’m not exaggerating), our bathrub was broken, and our shower leaked, the drain was broken and kept popping off. We had 4 rooms in total since we’re travelling with 3 other families. One room had a broken coffee maker, one room had a broken fridge and hair dryer. Eventually after multiple requests the hair dryer fridge were replaced/fixed. In our room, we had a trail of tiny bugs crawling on one wall, which kept coming back and it was really annoying. I know rooms are not a big deal since we spend most of our time outside the rooms, but some aspects like clean, working shower/bathtub, bugs-free room are important to us. And for multiple rooms when you have broken things this was a trend and annoying to keep calling and waiting for someone to fix/replace. Beach: it was really clean, barely any seaweed, resort is close to the beach, very close- the tide would sometimes come right up to the beach loungers in the night. However the beach is rough, with big waves and not swimmable for kids and even adults at times. This was disappointing because we love spending time in the water at the beach and couldn’t at this one. Pool and loungers: we always managed to find a shady spot, lots of loungers and umbrellas on the beach and by the pool, however during very busy times during the end of our stay, it was hard to get a spot at some of the pools. We found the pool at the Punta Cana resort to be the best, it’s big and had a restaurant next to it. The main pool in Bavaro suites resort was 8ft so not good for us and our kids. Entertainment: it was good, always stuff going on, the staff running the entertainment are super friendly and really nice, evening entertainment started at 8:30pm and we attended the circus and Disney shows- both were really fun for the family. They have a sports centre with mini golf (it’s super hard lol), basketball, tennis, ping pong, archery (be there at 10am sharp), and much more. So lots of other activities within the resort and on the beach. Bars and drinks: bartenders are really nice, quick and drinks were good! No issues except you are better off going to the bar rather than waiting for someone to come to you to take an order. We didn’t mind that though. Kids club: our kids did not go to the kids club but they had lots of fun stuff going on. The kids splashpad and pool area in Punta Cana resort was under construction when we went so I can’t comment on it. The property has so much shade, greenery, trees, covered walkways and a shuttle to take you to the other resorts- it came very frequently and you aren’t waiting longer than a few minutes. Walking from resort to another was not that bad, they are close, but only if you stay in the rooms close to the Punta Cana resort. We were in building 17 which we liked the location of. Overall a good resort but we would prefer not go back. I hope this review helps someone with their decision or at least prepare you.

The show dinner staff were amazing and attentive. Staff were great while dealing with a food allergy. Yinerka specifically a sweetheart! Always quick to seat is upon when arriving. We were actually treated to a special table setup in the buffet area because we were unable to book a la carte.
