Beach was stunning and the sea was amazing, the food was great as were the drinks, the gardens were beautiful and well maintained and most of the staff were great. Downsides - DON'T DON'T fall for the Travel Club promises of a nice lunch and a tour of the hotels as we were promised, it was a basic lunch and a 3 hour hard sell timeshare session with very aggressive staff - avoid at all costs plus don't buy the wine in the a-la-carte's - you don't have to as the house wine is great - we were forced to buy one through lies (feedback and a complaint made to the hotel), when we complained at the table, we were ignored and after we'd left the server forged (very badly) our signature which led to 3 hours of arguing at check out - not a nice experience
This is my second trip to Grand Pallendium Bavaro Suites in the past year. It never disappoints! The staff was amazing…they remembered my last room number..WOW. It was like going home to visit family. Luis was so welcoming. There are lots of things to do. The beach was beautiful. Cordero was awesome! He made sure we got around easily as we preferred not to walk a lot. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. If you are looking for a place with lots of variety, moderately priced and an amazing staff, then Bavaro is the place. I am excited to return again soon to see my Punta Cana family!
Our honeymoon was a disaster. Our coach bus driver took forever to take us to the hotel. All because he didn't know where to drop off the other passages. Once we arrived to the hotel, everything seemed normal. We got our keys but once we got to our suite, we noticed the double twin size beds. We didnt pay for this. We paid for the king size bed. We walked back to the lobby, and they told us there were no more king size bed suites with partical ocean view. We had to wait almost 4 days, which was a day and half before our departure to get the room we paid for. We spoke to 3 people. One female lobby staff was rude. She kept saying we didnt order a king size bed suite with a partial ocean view. Once we got our suite, the room smelled like cigarettes and vomit. The quality of the restaurant food was awful. No taste. The waitress at the steak house was rude. Kept arguing with me on what I had ordered. I know what I ordered. She failed to listen carefully. I even repeated it twice to her. The breakfast spot was amazing though. Bavaro pool vibe was meh. Beach was amazing. However, beware the vendors. They will not leave you alone. Every 5 mins someone comes and trys to sell you something. They dont take a NO for an answer. Really annoying. Can't relax. The beds are so uncomfortable. It took forever for the jacuzzi to fill up. The live shows were meh. They definitely need more culture performance. They definitely need more shows where ppl are engaged in. The shuttle bus took forever to give us a ride. They kept saying sorry Im not going there. Zero lobby performance, eventhough this is what they were advertising in their event calendar. The coupon they gave us were useless. On our departure day, the coach bus never arrived. We had to carpool with another couple to the airport. I was ready to go home on the 3rd day. Horrible experience. …
Overall we started with kind faces who told us what we wanted to hear but in the end it was all smoke, nothing truthful. From an inability or unwillingness to accommodate an allergy despite saying they would multiple times to smoke filled air in the suite and a bed that was less comfortable than the beach chairs it was a rough first couple days. A hardcore sales pitch left us feeling as if we didn’t buy into the travel club we wouldn’t get proper service and our honeymoon would be a total waste of thousands of dollars. But then we met Henry. Henry changed our entire honeymoon. He made us feel special he looked after us and genuinely became our friend and advocate. Henry also introduced us to Sandra and she was SO kind to us as well, our whole trip shifted because of these two peoples’ monumental effort. Thankfully our honeymoon is now a good memory and one we can cherish forever and not the nightmare it started out to be. There were serval others along the way who helped but the feeling you get upon that first sales pitch and the pressure to go back to another one is extremely off putting. Thankfully there are some outstanding staff that outshined the dark spots. …
The stay was excellent for the price and location. We were group of 14 males so we made good use of the all inclusive package. Lot of variety at the restaurants and they tried to cater for our spicy food needs. The casino was a let down. The check in process was slow. Overall great stay
