This resort is awesome, the beach is beautiful the drinks were good there are waitress that come around to take drink orders on the beach or the beach bar was right there to get drinks. There was some sargassum on the beach but the tractors came by every morning to rake it up. We upgraded to the adults only side I think it is well worth it are butler Jacob was great he checked on us every day either through whatsapp or would come to the beach and find us. We did not use the pools much as we are beach people, we did go to the foam parties which were a lot of fun. The food for the most part was fantastic the buffets had something for every one, we did not care for the seafood sit down restaurant but other than that every thing was great we loved the snacks at the beach restaurant in the afternoon. The animation team did a great job, nightly shows were pretty good the circus and Michael Jackson were are favorite. I would definitely recommend this resort you cant go wrong …

Everyone was friendly and helpful to make our first trip a success. Diffently met all of expectations. Kudos to Carlos at the front desk and Alfredo our Butler he took excellent care of us. Food was great. Wonderful Spa experience. Lots of entertainment and activities for all. Can't wait to do it again!

The rooms were old looking and smelled old but the highlight of the resort were very helpful and pleasant staff. Luis Mensa and Carlos of Taino restaurant were magnificent and truly made sure my mother was celebrated for her birthday.

This was my 5th stay at Majestic Colonial, this time I went with my mom for mother-daughter trip. The hotel was very nice and clean. I have to give a huge credit to all the hard workers who cut grass/bushes and keep the outside of the hotel grounds looking beautiful. The food was ok but not great, variety was much better previous times I went, but even this time I could always find something good to eat. Dominican/Mexican restaurant was very good. The crew at the main buffet was great, Juan and Keiri were awesome! Always smiling and joking around with guests. Beach buffet was not good at all, food was limited, always cold and because of that we only ate there 3 times. Our Butler was Harry and he was great! He was in contact with us every day, always greeting us with a smile and asking if we needed anything. He made my mom's birthday very special by decorating our room and leaving champagne and orange juice (which I asked for) so we can celebrate with mimosas. He really made our stay extra special. I would definitely recommend getting a swim up suite, it was great because we didn't have to worry about reserving seats at the pool area. One thing, it was very hard to get a seat at the beach, people were reserving seats super early, so if that's important to you, you'll have to get there at 7am or even earlier! Our room was close to the beach so we didn't care, we would go for a swim to the ocean and then back to our patio at the pool.…

We came back to the Majestic Colonial after being married on the beach 10 years ago. We rarely visit the same hotels because me mostly book the best we can get at the best price. The Majestic is a higher cost hotel so we had to pay more than what we normally do but seeing as it was for our 10 year anniversary we spent a bit more and upgraded to the club which is adults only with additional services like butler service. 10 years ago we were travelling with family and friends so we were on the family side. We had learned the hotel was renovated in 2017 so we were looking forward to seeing what had changed. We left Ottawa, Canada just after 6am and arrived 4.5 hours later. We opted into using the VIP airport service who waited for us sign in hand as we got off the airplane. We got to the hotel and were quickly greeted by someone who guided us to the air conditioned lounge where a nice lady helped us through the online checklist and got us our bracelets. It was just after 1 pm so we knew Our room would not be ready so they invited us to go get some lunch and come back a bit later. We returned just after 2 pm and met our butler with another couple. His name was Bayron, He escorted us to the club lounge. He asked the other could to wait for him as he escorted us to our room as it was ready. Our room was just steps from the lounge. It was in a great area on the ground floor which for me is a big deal because I had heart condition so walking up and down stairs in hot weather is not ideal. I know there are elevators but they are small and I’m cloister phobic so it’s just best if I am on the ground floor. We had a nice . Our butler was showing us the controls for the AC and he noticed it wasn’t working. He asked us what we want in our fridge and informed us if we run out of soft drinks or water or snack we can get more at the lounge. He asked us which night we wanted to book the two restaurants that required reservations and stepped out. As we were unpacking, our butler had sent the repair person who arrived maybe 10 min after we arrived. He noticed it wasn’t broken it was just the sensor on the patio door that was affecting it, when we opened and closed it the AC started back up. The were people that came and dropped off a beach bag and majestic ball caps and a bottle of rum. Other people put anniversary and welcome back banners on our door. Our butler Bayron came back with our dinner reservations and arms full of the soft drinks we said we liked more. Wow what more can you ask for? Bayron always managed to do more. I noticed a guest had said she received a bottle of baileys in her room after much frustration with her room so I asked if we could get a bottle of baileys thinking I might get the mini bottles you get on a plane but nope got a full size bottle wow when i finished it I was asked if I wanted another. My husband was celebrating his birthday so Bayron asked if he could do anything. He had balloons added to our door. He brought us majestic golf shirts and he asked if there was anything else. I asked if he knew if he could get some amaretto. He was not sure if he could get it but wow he came through. We read reviews and knew some people had bad experiences with their butlers and indicated theirs ghosted them but it was definitely not what our experience was. Bayron checked in on WhatsApp with me every day. We didn’t need him every day but it was great to know we could count on him ever on our last day even though he was on his day off he had arranged a late checkout the day before. We were leaving the hotel at 8:20 pm so the regular checkout at noon was not going to work. Being part of the club we knew we could get a late checkout but Bayron came through first us and got us a 5pm checkout. This allowed us to experience the day as normal and shower in our own room with our things unpacked. We had enough time to pack us stuff roll our luggage to the front desk and checkout. We walked back to the club lounge until 6:30 then had our last meal and then went back to the lobby to get changed and then waited for the bus. We enjoyed our return t the hotel because of a Bayron and a few people who just made it very enjoyable. Marisol at the buffet who always greeted us like were old friends. One day I asked her where the papayas was and she said she would take care of it. This lovely lady went to the kitchen, peeled and cut up a papaya and brought it to me. I mean come on, that was going above . There was another lovely lady in the club lounge who always greeted us and us who our day was and was teaching me some Spanish words. I thought I wrote down her name but I can’t find where I put it. I sounded like Elisabeth but not exactly. My overall feeling of this hotel is that it’s the people are what made the experience of coming back enjoyable. As I explained this hotel is on the pricy side so we can’t afford to comeback here every year but we are happy we came back to revisit the gazebo where we got married 10 years go…

This is probably the best all inclusive we have ever stayed at.From our Butler Nelson, to the totalling service oriented staff like Darling. The selection of food was huge and all good. I can truly say we never had a bad meal and we are true foodies. My thanks to the entire Majestic team at making this a great holiday, and to the kitchen & weight staff grat job.
