Our stay at the Majestic Mirage was wonderful! It began with our very dependable driver, Rolando (thank you Sally). Rolando is personable and will take you wherever you would like to go at a very reasonable fee. Check him out on WhatsApp +1 (849) 873-1140. We were in the Majestic Club. The room was absolutely beautiful! Housekeeping kept them mopped and cleaned every day! Our butler, David was also very helpful and accommodating. As long as you make your request through WhatsApp, or if you see him on the grounds, you can count on David to meet your needs. He’s extremely busy with many customers, but always pleasant and dependable. Everyone working at the Market Place buffet were friendly. I was happy that the food was served! My visit was always extra special because of Marisal! She was always so busy, but always found a moment to speak, put a flower in my hair, or have us sit at a special table that was decorated with flowers! What a special touch. I enjoyed her friendly personality. The food was “hit and miss” on taste. We enjoyed the ocean breeze at the Seaside restaurant. Lunch at Seaside was pretty good and we loved the fried shrimp and red snapper for dinner. We also liked the food at Kabuki, the Japanese restaurant, but our cook was extremely boring. I also felt like he was rushing us to finish eating. The Italian restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, but it was also mediocre. The angus meatballs did not taste good. The lasagna was okay. I heard that the mussels were good. Finally, my hubby and I were big fans of the slow temperature short ribs at the Steak restaurant! The manager was kind enough to make a special order to go and personally delivered it to the Kabuki grill for my hubby. That’s OUTSTANDING service! We enjoyed the Michael Jackson show on Monday night. It’s nearly impossible to impersonate him, but they all did a really good production. On the excursion to Saona Island our guide, Santos was very informative. The only negative was the onslaught of flies surrounding the lunch. I couldn’t enjoy the food. Also, ladies be sure to bring travel size kleenex when you travel. At the town where you catch the catamaran, one of the locals was at the door of the bathroom giving out toilet paper for a tip😳. Fortunately, I always travel with kleenex. On the speed boat ride back, we stopped at a “natural” swimming hole where the movie Blue Lagoon was filmed. The boat stopped and had everyone to jump into the water. That was awesome! For the most part, this was an amazing trip!!…
This is our 4th time visiting the Majestic Resorts. We keep coming back because it feels like home. Our recent visit was at the Majestic Mirage and we had a memorable experience. We visited the DR for the first time in June to celebrate our anniversary. After a year of forced hibernation, we were SO ready for a couple's vacay. Overall, the experience at Majestic Mirage was enjoyable. We also understand that any disappointments we encountered were likely due to several months with low occupancy rates. The first night there we went to the steak restaurant and I was thrilled to see that they had my favorite wine Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. My husband and I are a bit snobbish about our wine (and coffee -- more on that later). The second night we went to dinner and discovered that I had consumed the last bottle of Santa Margarita at the resort! Similarly, the selection of reds for my husband was less impressive than you would find at a chain restaurant like an Applebee's! The "sommelier" did his best with what he had to work with but I think he was glad to see us head back to the states! Just a side note on other alcohol: they kept running out of the local beer (Presidente)! The property seemed to be well-maintained, most of the staff was friendly and the trip was a welcome break from the nightmare of 2020. We have to mention two very special people who made our stay extraordinary in spite of the glitches. Our butler Junior was amazing! He responded to every request as quickly as possible and did his best to accommodate even our desperate thirsty requests for the ever-elusive Presidente. But the highlight of our trip was Leidy. We first encountered her at the coffee shop where she tended to us at one of the outside tables. Very sweet but still very professional. Even though we spoke different languages, her ready smile broke any language barrier. And we were thrilled to find that she served drinks at our pool later in the day! So we were fortunate to be able to spend a good bit of time with her each day during our stay. She is certainly a role model for work ethic and hospitality! Our morning coffee just hasn't been the same since we returned home. Thanks to everyone there for an enjoyable experience.…
We had a great stay! Our room was beautiful. The resort had many fun activities throughout our stay, and the scenery was lovely. We recommend eating at the non-buffet restaurants whenever possible, because the food is great and it is fresher. The employees were all excellent and provided wonderful service. Jose Jacob was our butler and he was fantastic. He far exceeded our expectations. He was available promptly and at all hours to answer any question we had. He was always happy to see us around the resort and knew our names. Antero, a server at the sports bar, made great and interesting conversation. He remembered us throughout our stay. Junior socialized with us throughout our stay and recruited us to play beach activities. We enjoyed the activities and he was very fun to talk to.…
Had a great experience at Majestic Mirage! Elvis is the BEST butler. He went so hard making sure that we had a great time. He was extra helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy! (:
