Had a quick staycation for a night on our anniversary. A colleague that helped me book the hotel did inform the hotel that it’s our anniversary, so the hotel did a simple decoration inside the room, prepared a cake on the table with a personalized hand-drawn card. Love the service and the excellent details!!
Room was spacious, clean, bathroom was great, bath amenities were from THANN which smells greaaatt, reminds me of our honeymoon trip to a resort in Khao Lak, Thailand.
Had an anniversary dinner and the food was great!
Breakfast was superb, they didn’t serve all items on the buffet table because it’s pandemic i guess to keep it clean, but we can order anything on the breakfast menu and the chef would cook it for us.
Special mention for all the staffs for the great service, friendly and helpful throughout the stay!
Will definitely go back here for a staycation. Soon.
P.S. they make sure everyone is wearing mask around the facilities, and they place hand sanitizer dispenser everywhere around the building. SUPER SAFE!

My partner booked a standard room for my birthday.
The room was on the 12th floor with harbour view (room 1231). The hotel building is 13 floors with the lounge on the top floor. The room came with king sized bed with bay window seats, the bathroom had a bath tub and a separate shower room.
Plus point for ladies, powerful hairdryer!
Love that there was a day curtain (manual) and blackout curtain (automatic with switch) to adjust natural light coming into the room.
The staff throughout the hotel was polite and helpful.
The pool + swirl pool + kids pool is on the 5th floor overlooking the sea. The gym (24 hours) and spa (was advised by the spa staff they opens 10am to 10pm daily) is also on the 5th floor, easily accessible from the lift lobby.
The gym is well equipped with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, 3 stationary bikes, 2 free weight benches and some machines.
The pool is clean (my stay was on weekdays) 25m in length at its longest length. Decent for laps. Great views overlooking the sea. The the whirlpool at the side is a plus point.
Level 2 of the hotel connects to the adjacent Bayfront mall. The restaurants at the promenade are accessible from level 1 of the hotel lobby. There are a lot of food choices, mostly seafood restaurants. Also a hotpot restaurant.
Only disappointment was the spa (Quan Spa). Went for the Quan Day Ritual for Two (2.5 hours) which included stone massage, ear candling, coffee body scrub and mask (plus V-spa Retus for ladies) for Rp 2,000,000 before taxes (with taxes was about Rp 4,000,000 = SGD 400). Quality of masseurs was poor (massage techniques, temp of the hot stones), inattentive service, unclear instructions (possible due to language; masseurs speaking simple English). Wasn’t told about the start of the mask, only to realized we had to rest for 15 mins for the masking process. Also insufficient information given for V-Spa Retus which was done near the end of spa session. Quite disappointing given the price point.

The Marriot here is very new and I heard the only 5 starred hotel in Batam, Indonesia. Rooms are excellent and I recommend the Harbour/Sea view rooms which had spectacular views of the sunsets! I stayed in room 709 and the room was huge with a king sized bed and plenty of space to lounge around. The overhead rain shower in the bathroom was my favorite!
Next, the staff were mostly very friendly and very attentive to your needs. The porters and doormen were all very friendly and helpful! I'd like to thank a couple of them who made my stay and our extended family's stay (my mum, mum in-law, uncle and aunt included) here an enjoyable and comfortable one.
Daniel, the manager at the restaurant where we had our breakfast was always ready to greet us with a smile and always making sure we had what we needed. He was always very friendly and asked about our previous day and how it was.
Irwansyah over in the Altitude rooftop bar (spectacilar view of the bay and sunsets by the way) was always ready with a smile! Great service!
My only gripe with the hotel was that the housekeeping staff were slow in cleaning the rooms and on one of the days, our room wasn't cleaned yet when we came back in the evening and even after telling the staff whom we saw at the hallway, they did not clean the room until I called up the reception and complained which was why I am giving the hotel 4/5 stars.

I am traveling to Batam for work and i had amazing stay here. The staff were friendly, smile and polite. I like the room, really convenience for traveler like me with 1 laptop, 2 mobile phone. Modern concept, international plug every corner of the room and USB charger as well. The best thing also Black JBL speaker where i can listen some music/ podcast. saturday 2 july 2022 i stayed at the marriot hotel harbour bay with my mom because it was her birthday so i chose to stay at this hotel, the first impression of entering this hotel was very good, i first checked in with risyaa, she was very friendly and thorough explained all the procedures c /i, after finishing c/i she gave us a welcome drink while waiting to go to our room, while waiting, my mom got the first surprise by Rahmat and the other team, my mom really liked and was touched by the surprise given, Rahmati was very good at arranging all the surprises to my mom, maybe this will be a birthday suprice that will not be forgotten for my mom. after my mom got suprice in the lobby, concierge fadhlan took us to our room, he was very friendly and explained all the places in the hotel such as restaurants, gyms, pools and others. After arriving at my mom's room, I was touched to see the birthday decorations made by Vincene & Jade. the decoration is very good, there are photos of us as a family, there are paintings. and the view given is very good which is a sea view. the marriot harbor bay hotel room is nice and unique, the air conditioner is cold, the room smells good, the room is big, the toilet is very good. we don't forget to capture this beautiful moment by taking pictures and posting them on my social media. In the afternoon I swam in the swimming pool, the swimming pool was very luxurious with a view of the beach, it was very beautiful to swim with a view of the sunset. it didn't end there, in the morning I had breakfast at the goji restaurant, and my mom got another surprise from the goji restaurant team, namely Alda and the team, they came to the table bringing cake and singing a song and my mom was very touched because she got another surprise. This moment will never be forgotten for the rest of his life. oh yeah, breakfast at the goji restaurant is very delicious, all menus are complete, starting from Indonesian, American breakfast. and the restaurant is very clean and the staff are all very friendly. after finishing breakfast we are ready for c/o, actually we are very sad to leave this hotel, because all the staff are very nice and friendly which makes you feel like at home. I want to say thank you, rahmat fo the HK team for preparing everything for my mom's birthday surprise, thank you also Alda and the Goji restaurant team for preparing a bday surprise for my mom, me and mom are very honored to receive all of this, hopefully the marriot hotel will be glorious always, i will definitely come back again to this hotel for holidayy! thank you very much marriot hotel harbour bay batam !

Everything about the hotel is so good. The bed is so comfortable, and the room is so spacious. This is my first stay at Marriott Batam, and it has exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by friendly staff at the reception desk, Mr. Rahmat and Ms. Cindy provided excellent service to the guests. They even arranged a special cocktail to be delivered to the room along with welcome notes. The housekeeping team (Feri & Yazio) put in extra effort to decorate the bed and toilet with their personal touch. It was indeed a pleasant surprise. We were well taken care of in every way. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend it.

The Marriott is hands down the best bayfront city hotel in Batam. You'll pay a bit of a premium, but the service and superb cuisine make this worth the splurge. It's probably worth it to include breakfast as this is one of the best bfast buffets in Batam. Do try some of the other food as well such as our the Buddha Bowl. Many of the staff have worked in Bali or internationally and so are accustomed to a high level of service. The staff really work hard to know your name and serve well. The pool is on the small side but offers a gorgeous view out over the sea toward the hills of Sekupang. Book a sea view room if you want to enjoy the views from the room. This is one of the newest hotels in Batam at the moment and still feels very new. Thankfully the hotel has been able to keep the AC on despite pandemic challenges, so that's a plus. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well-designed. Keep up the good work Marriott team!

I stayed at the marriott with my daughter and 4yr old granddaughter on the 6th May 2022. Received the best check in service fr Rahmat at front desk. He was so helpful, so accomadating and knew that we were tired since we were delayed frm spore and did everything possible to attend to our needs. Always a smile on his face and service from the heart and so genuine. Rizal the guy that worked at the pool was also the same. They remembered our names and addressed us by our names everytime we met. My granddaughter was so taken by him that she will look frm him every morning since our room had the pool view. Breakfast was great, good selection of food. However the alacarte menu I must say was not so good. Food was average and served cold. Housekeeping was very slow when we asked fr extra shower gel. Took more than an hr. On the whole it was a great stay. Rahmat and rizal were the stand outs. They were excellent and I never had any experience frm any staff at any hotels I stayed in batam except frm these 2 guys. Oh the spa was good too. Staff there were so friendly and always ready to assist. Location was fabulous and the room was just amazing. This was my first getaway after Covid and I must say I enjoyed it. I will definetely go back and I just want Mariott to know that if u have these 2 amazing staff Rahmat and Rizal, they shd defetinetey be there to stay. Its people like them that make the hotel what it is and being the Mariott, these 2 shd be there fr the long term

Rahmat , Risha and team. Their services is remarkable . Really make my stay very comfortable and enjoyable ones. Apart from professionalism in their job they are also very creative in welcoming return guests. Welcome notes written on glass panel , cut out letterings (Welcome Back) neatly arranged on coffee table and cakes. Wow!

This is a perfect weekend, with every staff member from the counter to each position displaying their usual professionalism and enthusiasm. First, I would like to thank the customer experience officer Rahmat Yusri; the paintings on the mirrors were a delightful surprise. Following that, thanks to Pito, who remains enthusiastic, accommodating all requests, and caring attentively. The evening cocktail at the mclub lounge, along with the service from Selvi and Seiren, elevates the entire dining experience. Chef Fauzi in the restaurant provides heartfelt service, especially in substituting for the Indomie dry noodles – the taste is excellent! Even when I wanted to pay for his service, he politely declined, which is commendable. Also, kudos to the "At Your Service" agents Ammadhea and Heri; mineral water and shower gel were promptly delivered, showcasing high service efficiency! Lastly, I want to commend Saddam, the front desk staff on duty at MClub during checkout; his efficiency and warmth concluded our stay perfectly. Based on the above, I would definitely consider a third stay. If there's anything to criticize, perhaps I would mention the shower's hot water regulator being a bit unbalanced, fluctuating between hot and cold. Other than that, there are almost no flaws. Keep up the good work, Marriott Batam!
