The location of the hotel is fantastic and beautiful for those who appreciate peace and seclusion. Those who want entertainment and nightlife will be rather unhappy here. The hotel is located directly on a very long and almost completely deserted beach, which can sometimes give you that Robinson Crusoe feeling. The sea is calm and the entrance is easy, with no rocks or sudden shallows. Wonderful!
Our pool villa was large with an indoor and outdoor bathroom and a plunge pool directly in front of the exit to the beach. As with all Tugu Hotels, the interior is designed in Indonesian style, with lots of old and impressive furniture. This may not suit everyone's taste, as we have already read, but it certainly suits ours.
On the beach, two loungers were always prepared for us early in the morning - and decorated with a bouquet of flowers. Our package also included two romantic dinners, one on the beach and the other at an ancient temple complex. It was wonderful, even a small bonfire and a small firework display were prepared. Great!
Our private snorkelling trip to the Gili Islands on the hotel boat was also great! The guide knew his way around very well, so we were able to observe the many corals, colourful fish and sea turtles with him alone and in peace.
The restaurant left nothing to be desired, Indonesian or Western cuisine, everything was prepared quickly.
But what we liked best was the staff, who lovingly looked after us all day.

Insanely personal experience, the staff in Tugu are just out of this world, all so friendly and there to make your stay as good as they can. Food was brilliant, breakfast, lunch and dinner - fresh fish in the evenings was amazing. Rooms were huge and the house keeping staff so talented with the different types of towel animals we got left on a daily basis. Dinner on the beach a big highlight and made up for one of the restaurant being closed.
Beach and location just can’t be beaten, white sand, blue clear water and very very quite.
The only downside like some of the other reviews have said is that the grounds have clearly suffered from lack of tourism through the last few years but that actually only makes me want to go back more.
Again it has to be said that ALL the staff and location make this hotel truly amazing…..

I stayed with my family at this amazing Resort in August after a tour of Indonesia. From the moment you arrive you realize you have arrived in a magnificent place! For us, the hotel was definitely a paradise: on the long, pristine white beach, we were mostly alone with the few hotel guests. As in all Tugu hotels, the furnishings consisted of antiques, which may not suit everyone's taste, but were very interesting for us. Our Bhagavat Gita suite was simple but adequately furnished. The outdoor shower in the morning was really fun and the small pool was also delightful after a dip in the sea. The staff, as in other Tugu hotels, catered to our every need before we could express it. We had forgotten our tablet on the plane. The hotel called the airline and picked up the tablet from the airport. With Budi, with whom we had also done the airport transfers, we went on an excursion by car that lasted several hours and Budi proved to be a very knowledgeable guide who was able to give us many interesting details about Lombok.
A snorkeling trip to the Gili Islands was a highlight with dozens of turtles near the islands. For our anniversary, a romantic dinner was organized on the beach, lovingly arranged and decorated on a bamboo bed, even a bonfire lit up the secluded beach. Afterwards we found the way to our room as well as the room itself decorated with very many candles and flowers. Every day and without prompting, two sun loungers were prepared for us on the beach and decorated with quite a few flower arrangements. The daily tea hour in the afternoon, sometimes in the restaurant and sometimes directly on the beach, offered very tasty snacks, as all meals were outstanding. When we asked for mango and passion fruit in the morning, these fruits were brought to our table every day without being asked. Conclusion: A wonderful island and a wonderful hotel.

We spent four nights in this dream hotel, near a small village, by the sea, Atypical hotel contrasting with the modernity of many other resorts. Only objects and statuses found from both sides and placed with care and harmony. Aloon Room-Aloon with a large patio bedroom and semi open bathroom with a large bathtub. From breakfast to dinner to 4 p.m. tea, the staff takes great care with always a little attention. Salt flat, you need one, the rooms are equipped with earplugs...the island has the name of island of a thousand mosques, so at 5 a.m. first prayer call and as that is not enough broadcast of all the prayer , great when we are between two mosques. The hotel had organized a visit to the rice field, Sine forest village and picnic basket for us. Top notch massage

I will first start with the staff who are really very good and who deserve 5 stars. This is truly an important asset for this hotel. You are always entitled to a little attention at meal time. It is very nice to arrive at breakfast and have the impression that you have been coming to this hotel for a long time because they remember your name "hello Mr so-and-so/Mm so-and-so you are well today" (thing impossible in big resorts). I found the decoration of the hotel and the rooms to my taste (I even really liked it). Around 4 p.m. Tea Time on the beach (free tea, coffee, fruit juice, sweet or savory treats) But there are also negatives unfortunately and it must be emphasized. The hotel is far from everything. You will definitely need a taxi. You will eat at the hotel in the evening and you will quickly have a look at the dishes on the menu. Lombok is the island of 1000 mosques so you will be woken up every morning around 4:30 a.m. by the call to prayer and I can assure you that you will hear it very, very well). We had a large room with a very decent outdoor bathroom except the shower pressure. The fridge in the room is a problem because it is really very noisy. The rooms are cleaned every day and in the evening they come to prepare the room for you in night mode. Be careful for a 5 star the swimming pool in front of the restaurant the tiles are coming off and there is a hole in the steps, the mattresses on the beach are cracked.

One of the most special places we have ever stayed in! We came here in our honeymoon and this was the first hotel we stayed in on Lombok. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff’s service, warmth and attention to detail was outstanding. I have never received 5* star service such as this. They knew our names, our needs and would go above and beyond in every way they could.
A very special mention to Hadi, Anisa, Dedy and Eddie who always took extra care of us and gave us their time and help whenever we needed. However, every single member of staff we came across were simply wonderful.
The hotel style and ambience is unique, rustic but brings a sense of luxury. We stayed in the incredible San Hyang Presidential Suite which had the most stunning pool, view of the crystal blue waters and a comfortable bed. The grounds are gorgeous, with vegetation and authentic-feeling artwork or sculptures at every turn. It gives a more traditional and cultural feel than other hotels we have stayed in.
The beach is beautiful. Swimming for us was tricky as the water was very shallow but we kayaked out during sunset and couldn’t get enough of looking out to the waters during breakfast lunch and dinner.
Our highlights included a stunning, special feast at their temple, breakfast on the beach on our final day, a wonderful massage in the Spa and the incredible service.
We have never felt so sad to leave a hotel before and it was credit to the hotel that we kept checking if they had availability for us to stay longer!!
Tip: Book any boat tours or massages in advance as they were already very full by the time we arrived.

The Tugu Hotel is the best property I have ever stayed in for beauty, location, food and staff. I spent the most beautiful four days of my entire holiday in Indonesia. In the morning I woke up bathing in my private pool overlooking the ocean to then have breakfast in an enchanting poolside restaurant that ended on the beach. A staff of the highest level starting from the reception to the waiters to the chefs who pampered us and delighted us with the various dishes. This is a truly amazing hotel. We stayed for 4 nights as part of a trip to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary, and we were made to feel really special. There is no doubting the the beauty of the setting, the fascinating art installations and laid back, serenic atmosphere. Our room was great, but slightly poorly lit. The large open-air bathroom was a pleasure to use. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The 1 Hour Free Massage was brilliant. But the stand out feature of this hotel is its staff. They regularly decorated our room, gifted flower displays to my wife daily, made us a special cake and always greeted us with our names and a genuine smile. On our last night they gave us the best table in the restaurant which was strewn with petals, congratulatory messages written on leaves and of course another cake! When we returned to our room after dinner the path had been lit with candles, decorated with petals and our room was decorated like a beautiful zoo made from towel art! They are wonderful people who made our stay very, very special. Go there!

Hotel too isolated but in a dream location. Take half board because meals and drinks are very expensive. Be careful, we hear the prayer at least 4 times during the day. The attention of the staff is very, very high quality, very helpful and kind. High quality food, two beautiful swimming pools, rooms a little dark.

Unfortunately we don't have gym at the property. For those who want to do exercise during their holiday, we provide water sport equipment's such as Masker, goggle, paddle board and kayak. Snorkeling on our beach is possible at Biorocks garden.

Pleased to hear that you have a plan to come to visit Lombok, for your information Tugu Lombok located in the white pristine sandy beach in Sire. 25 minutes boat rides to the Gili islands, 45 minutes drive from Senggigi and main town Mataram.
If you are looking for local restaurant, you may try to visit kafe Anna, warung sempurna and few warungs in Bangsal. Take around 10 to 15 minutes ride from Tugu.
All room at Tugu Lombok is easy to access, without stairs and all are individual building. Yes we do have some steps in the restaurants and lobby area, but again our team will always standby in case somebody need a help.

Lombok is safe and never heard about poison wine. I am indonesian and understand well local culture. As foreigner, stay humble and enjoy there. Learn few greetings word to local.. explore lombok with its beautiful beach, island and mountain. From local attraction to international wine and dine..
There are more places to choose from in the Tanjung area.
