Wonderful fishing lodge with terrific guides and great food. Strenuous hikes or less invigorating hikes available also for the non fishing spouse. Husband thought the guides great. Every evening the incomparable Julio had a Pisco Sour ready for me at 5 pm. Meals were served at one table and it was great fun meeting all the interesting guests. There was...

If you are looking for a diverse fishing destination in Patagonia, go to Coyhaique. If you then seek a world class fishing lodge in Coyhaique, go to this lodge. If your non-fishing partner wants to join, no problem, go to this lodge as they have a number of "adventure" events to offer. The lodge is open and spacious. Rooms are...

We just returned from a stay at the Coyhaique River Lodge. It was our first visit to Chile and we could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. From our pick-up at the airport (Balmaceda) to our return back to the airport, Gaston and his wonderful guides and staff could not have been more accommodating, charming and genuinely...

From your rooms you've got an amazing view, huge bedrooms, very clean, very good food, very friendly hosts. Quite in a valley but in only 10 min. in the Center of town. They only take up to 16 guests which makes it very familiar. Worth the money. Didn't find anything negative!

This was my first trip to patagonia. We booked thru Flywater travel http://www.flywatertravel.com/ who did a great job with the logistics. We were met by the owner Gaston at the airport in Balmaceda about 30 mins away. We traveled in early January which is not peak season. We had an amazing time at a immaculately clean, energy efficient lodge. The...

I have been to numerous fishing lodges, including 2 others in Chile. Nothing compared to Coyhaique River Lodge. The staff, the service, the guides, the fishing was all exceptional. Our primary guide Matt, is an outstanding professional who provides the perfect mix of needed information and assistance but without intrusion into the fishing experience. Alejandro deserves separate mention for his...

The staff at the lodge are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The head guide Alejandro is one of the best - endlessly encouraging. The variety of fishing is stunning from lakes to float trips and small stream wading. The food and the wines are top class.

The lodge is far out of town, in a lovely natural enviornment. The public area was really very nice ( but perhaps not large enough, as one evening there was a big dinner for a local group which took up all the public area, leaving no space for guests). The food and wine excellent, and the room very comfortable (though...

My second year to Coyhaique River Lodge for fly fishing. Looked forward to seeing the guides and staff I met last year. I was not dissappointed! Gaston & family greeted my husband and I, while Julio got started making Pisco Sours! Again, day after day of world class flyfishing with experienced and friendly guides, never the same spot and always...

From all bedrooms and the lounge there are beautiful views over the river gorge and along the valley. The bedrooms are basic but clean and sufficient, each with two double beds - notably no TV or telephone but good free wireless broadband in the bedrooms and central areas. The shower is good with plenty of hot water but the walls...
