A lovely place to stay "a night", because the wood floor makes to loudly the walking through the entire hotel, even the visitors any small loud they or you make, is easy to heard around the entire hotel.

The quality of the room and beds was quiter poor, compared to the quite high price we paid. Also, the wall seperating our bedroom and bathroom from those of our neighbors was so thin, I could literally follow their conversations through the wall. Breakfast was relatively poor as well. For the rest this hotel was okay.

Actually a great hotel, and well located, on the water, in Castro, and a few hundred yards from the local fishing port and market. The rooms are odd shaped, the building bubblegum pink, the welcome as warm as the pink color. Notice to older patrons: NO elevator to take your bags to the 3rd floor, but willing and able staff....

I LOVED my stay at Hote Unicornio Azul. It is convenient to the town, markets and transportation while having a lovely waterfront view. The staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. We did not dine there except for breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet and options were plentiful.

Yes, it is very old; yes it is strangely shaped; yes, it doesn't look like an average hotel.. So what? It is wonderful! You will not easily find such a strange, charming, unusual hotel anywhere else in the world. Maybe in Finland, Iceland Tierra del Fuego, Siberia. Nice people, nice architecture, nice atmosphere. A must-try, to me.

I travel a lot for my work, in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia. The Unicornio is honestly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, as well as one of the most expensive. It's a shame: with a bit of care and maintenance the hotel could be comfortable and would have real charm, but instead it seems...

Decent location and the hotel has a nice architecture. We stayed on the top floor with a very lovely view of the lake in front. There is no elevator but worth the pain of climbing all the floors for the view from the balcony. They have problems with the reservations, no co ordination among the hotel staff. But with the...

I thought this hotel fit our needs very well but my partner disagreed and spend one day searching for another hotel. The first day was uneventful but on the second day we were notified that we did not have a reservation. I showed the confirmation email but the manager had made a mistake and canceled based on a later email....

We spent one night at this hotel. It has a very good location on the waterfront and across the street from a lovely restaurant. The room was large (we had a room on the very top floor, these have balconies and a great view) The bathroom was small and rather dimly lit. There is no elevator, but getting a room...

We stayed three days in Feb. 2011, right in the middle of the high season. It was the moment when people from all the islands (and all over Chile) come to the Feria Costumbrista (an annual festival when people celebrate local food and traditions). This was the reason we had to pay nearly US$100 per night, not exactly a great...
