Spend a lovely weekend here at the beginning of November. Corton Denham is lovely, the hotel/pub is a beautiful place with fantastic food and really friendly, welcoming staff. Can't wait for our next visit!

We spent 2 wonderful days in The Queens Arms and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The atmosphere was fantastic, the location is great. The hotel is very good, clean, the breakfast was astonishing, the restaurant is amazing, the food is really delicious, very beautiful presented and all the products very fresh, first class. Besides,... More

We found the Queens Arms in the Good Pub Guide listed under Somerset. The village of Corton Denham has a Sherborne address but is actually located just over the border in Somerset. It is a classic country pub in a small village, with stone floors, real ale on tap and a log fire in the public bar. It also has... More

We stayed in June so we could attend a wedding nearby. Our room was very cosy although the wallpaper in the bathroom was lined with the marks of previous spillages the amazingly soft and luxurious bed well made up for that. The staff were polite and attentive although on both days the breakfast service was consistently incompetent. No one got... More

We have stayed at The Queens Arms before and all I can say it is still the same friendly and lovely place as before. It is a bit off the beaten track but well worth it when you arrive. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is good and there is just a very friendly atmosphere there, I can definitively... More

This was my first visit, although I have been to the area many times. When I arrived a very relaxed welcome and check in, then taken to a really well appointed spotlessly clean room. After a wash and brush up went down to the bar, a friendly local with his Labrador greeted me. Happy to let me test the local... More

Tucked away in a quiet countryside village this rather decent pub with delightful accommodation ensures a pleasant and memorable stay. The locally sourced food and ales are excellent, staff and visitors alike are most amenable, and where else would you enjoy reclining in a Barcelona chair in your bedroom ! It was so good we went back the following day... More

Stayed overnight on business. Everything is as you would hope in a country inn/pub. Bathrooms are modern but that's it - everything else is quaint and charming, and the staff were super friendly too. The food was fantastic - only grumble would be how to eat that massive piece of crackling without disturbing the peace. Only downside for a business... More

We had high expectations for our stay at the Queens Arms. Cons Unfortunately many of the staff were inexperienced which resulted in spotty service. Our first evening the lock on our room was not functioning and we were unable to exit our room without being rescued by staff. This was not fixed and we were again locked inside our room... More

Plenty of folk before me have sung the praises of the Queens Arms and I don't have much to add. Quite country location, comfortable lounge bar area with separate dining room. Relaxed, but not casual staff in attendance, choice of good beers and varied menu with well presented dishes. Can recommend the fish and chips and the rhubarb and custard... More
