Room was clean and spacious. Private bath and private elevator to room. Front porch with furniture for gathering. Refrigerator was stocked with water and soda. Location was walking distance to downtown restaurant.

Trotter House in Monticello AR is a gracious place to stay in mid-south AR. Rooms are lovely and the breakfasts divine! Only disappointment is no housekeeping service during a three day stay. Not a lot of dining choices in the area or things to do but if you have to be in the area it's much better than chain hotels.

I am so glad you enjoyed your breakfast! I am very sorry for your disappointment about not getting housekeeping service. We do provide housekeeping based on guests' preferences. I am so sorry we failed to ask if you wanted it during your stay. Any time someone needs housekeeping or any other service that we can provide, we are more than...

We stayed a total of 3 nights. The hospitality was amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the white oak room and my favorite part was the claw foot tub and the deck out of the room! It's a small town community with welcoming people! We will definitely be back soon!

A lovely place, and truly a bargain. We stayed in the Cypress room - since there were no pictures of the rooms on the website, we chose blindly. There's an elevator in this room ("in case stairs are a problem") - not an issue for us, but be aware that there's a step up to the bathroom and another step...

During a trip to Monticello for my Uncle's funeral my brother and his wife and I all stayed at the Trotter House. This place is very familiar to our family and although we had not stayed there in years, all the charm and warmth was a great comfort to us. The host is ever so friendly and helpful and it...

The Trotter house is exactly what most of us are looking for in a B&B: a classic, well kept home; attention to details re: guest arrivals and departures; an excellent (but not over-stuffed) breakfast, and a most courteous manager, all without fussiness or intrusion.

UAM Trotter House is superb! The best B&B we have ever stayed in! The home was absolutely clean, impeccably furnished and has all the character, warmth and charm that a home built in 1896 should have. My wife and I stayed in the “Dogwood” room, it was large and comfortable and a sitting room with a large screen TV was...

The 2015 National Collegiate Soil contest was in Monticello in April. I like to have my team of students stay at a VBRO so they have a more relaxinf and friendly environment compared to a hotel, but in a town like Monticello, such a thing does not exist. Through Trip Advisor I saw the UAM Trotter House. And I saw...

Recently, the house has fallen under new management. Ignore the older reviews. The new management has this house in top condition. It was extremely clean and they went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We would absolutely stay there again!

I love older homes and was very excited about spending the night here instead of a hotel. If you are looking for a super clean and friendly place to stay, then this is NOT the place for you. Staff was not overly friendly and the over all house needed a deep cleaning. Of all of the B&B's I have used...
