Pros: This is a beautiful place with many walk in primitive campsites. Easy river access as well as being close to some of the most beautiful hiking imaginable make this a great camping spot. Cool crystal clear water and fantastic cliffs are a plus. Just...More
We parked at this camp area and backpacked upstream. This facility has bathrooms and several walk in camp areas. The road down is pretty steep and bumpy, but is usable in a car, but would recommend a truck or higher clearance SUV. Pretty scenery and...More

I would definitely say no. The road has a lot of divets, ruts and potholes. There are big chunks of rocks and spots that drop off. There is a sign that recommends only vehicles with 4 wheel drive or high road clearance use the road and they weren't kidding. We took our ford focus and had a very hard time getting back up the road especially if someone tried to come down it the same time. Our friends with 4 wheel drive even had a hard time with the road.

"Get there early, its pretty popular. If you want to sleep in, stay to the right, the trees block the sun more."
