We are a small group and we are spending the night at hotel Gjirokastra. I would like to say that the hotel is great. Clean, nice, cheap, nice service, good food. I highly recommended. The staff is very helpful, warm hospitality. What else, very close to the centre.

When a family with a warm heart and generous hospitality is on show there is no better experience than this. Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well presented. Breakfast was home-style and plentiful. We had a bag of small laundry items and they were attended to without fuss and retuned in the evening. I'm a retired 5 star hotel general...

Hotels like this and the families that own and operate them is why we travel internationally. Many family members are involved with this hotel and they take pride in making sure your stay is a first rate experience. Since nights get cool in November, while we were settling into our room an extra heavy blanket was delivered to our room...

I cannot say enough kind things about the family that runs this hotel. They are very warm and caring. The breakfast was hot and tasty. The rooms were very clean and modern. The bedding was comfortable. The heat worked well. It's in a great location with beautiful surroundings. I would recommend anyone looking for a hotel in this area to...

Booked this hotel due to good reports and was not disappointed... We got free upgraeto suite and the owner was very helpful, from parking car to local tips. The hote family speaks fluently English and Italian. Breakfast was huge and kept in traditional rural style, no choice or menu. A few comments aside... each room has TV but only local...

I stayed here one night at the start of October. I had a spacious, well-appointed and well-prepared room with a very comfortable bed and good shower. The hotel is in the best location; only a couple of minutes away from the surprisingly busy centre and well positioned for walking up to the castle. All of the hotel's family-based team made...

Firstly we must say that the hotel and rooms are exquisite. We booked a suite room and it was immaculate and full of character. Everywhere is very clean and the rooms beautifully presented. The English speaking members of the family were not there all the time so it was difficult to seek advice during their absence. Our biggest disappointment was...

This is the best place to stay in Gjirokaster! Make it a must on your next trip. The family is so helpful and sweet. The food at the restaurant is always tasty. The best breakfast in Albanian hotels is at this hotel. Petula! Yum!

My wife and I were part of a church party staying at Hotel Gjirokaster. It is in a beautiful location and we were well treated throughout our visit. We had a double room in a separate part of the hotel, which was quiet, clean and comfortable (please see photographs). The shower was on a wet floor and I found it...

Situated at the top of a very steep drive through narrow streets we were delighted to find ample car parking and open views from this charming hotel. Open, friendly and trusting staff. They had no change to my large denomination note when I tried to pay for a drink and just said "pay tomorrow". Breakfast was not a buffet but...
