We stayed three nights at MLC as part of a two week visit to Manu Biosphere Reserve (Manu itself was absolutely fantastic!!!). We had a knowledgeable and experienced guide (Ricardo H Sanchez Tucto) who was able to explain the park in great detail. This made a difference to our enjoyment as I had wanted to visit Manu for over 20...

The food and accommodation are good and the staff very friendly. The Crees programme operates here and the volunteers have an enthusiasm and commitment to wildlife. Unfortunately despite the representations that this area of secondary rainforest has 80% of the species found in primary rainforest, it is a disappointing place for the experienced rainforest traveller and photographer. A particular attraction...

As a volunteer for the Crees foundation, staying at the MLC was just a fabulous experience. I can recommend it to both other volunteers and tourists, both of whom can know that their time spent at the MLC is literally contributing to scientific knowledge! During my month here I was certainly happy to have hot showers (a luxury afforded to...

My husband and I stayed at the MLC for 6 days as we celebrated 25 years of marriage. We flew info Cusco, explored the Sacred Valley, then made our way to the MLC. We traveled by van to the MLC, and although the trip was long, the CREES staff did a wonderful job of being like tour guides as we...

We stayed at the MLC for three nights. The rooms were basic, but clean (with the exception of a few visiting cockroaches. But they could be kept out of the beds using the mosquito nets provided). The same goes for the showers and bathrooms. The staff was extremely friendly and was more than happy to introduce us to the work...

My son (12) and I spent 2 days at the Learning Center. It is part of the CREES foundation and its main goal is to promote economic, social and environmental sustainability in the rainforest. The majority of the people staying at the learning center are researchers, interns and assistants, which creates a really neat environment. Our guide, Berner, was fantastic....

WOW what an experience! This place is truly magical. The lodges were excellent and the rooms were perfect, right behind a river. The staff were very friendly and even let us cook a traditional Peruvian dish. We did a lot of walking and exploring and our guide was very knowledgeable (Ronnie), the night walk was very exciting. Ronnie made our...

Booked a 5d/4n crees tour and had a really good guide for the first 3 days. After arriving in MLC we visited the oxbow lake, Shintuya village, a clay lick and local hot springs. The two women of the projects gave us a good talk and insights in the variois projects around. On the 4 th day our guide left...

We're a family of 4, with kids that were 8 and 6 when we visited Manu Learning Center (MLC). We had such an amazing time. Our guides, Ronald and Nelson were incredibly knowledgeable as well as just really good people to be around. And by going to a place where there is not just tourism going on, but also scientific...
