We stayed at Sun Set Hotel for one night on 7th May, 2010. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from entrance to Petra. The rooms were basic but clean - twin beds, tv, fan, and bathroom - toilet and shower. The staff were friendly and happy to look after our luggage on the day we checked-in while we visited...

This hotel is about as low as you get. Dingy and dirty room. Ill fitting sheets that kept coming off the bed to reveal a nasty foam mattress. Old cut carpet layed over older lino. Broken door to stained bathroom and leaking toilet. One scrawny towel. I wasn't expecting a whole lot for the price but this place lacks any...

Stayed at the Sun Set Hotel for one night, chosen because of its location close to the entrance to Petra. The hotel itself is easy to find, above a number of handy shops. The room was basic but clean - twin beds, tv, fan, and bathroom - toilet and shower. The only negative comments I would make is that our...

hotel is situated a few minutes easy walk from entrance to petra, what's great. free internet. rooms are clean, no problems with hot water in bathroom. basic, but clean, cheap, great located. i would deffinetly recommand it, 'cause you go to wadi musa to explore petra, not to spend your time in a hotel room.

We had planned to stay at the Petra Palace because our daughter had stayed previously and recommended it. But when we tried to reserve, 3 months in advance, the Petra Palace had no vacancies for our dates, and most of the other hotels near the entrance to Petra were also full. The Sun Set had rooms that looked nice on...

We arrived for our three night stay and found parking on the street right outside. The hotel was undergoing a mini makeover and the reception area looked very clean and new and posh. We were offered two rooms although we took the first not seeing the second! our room was clean and we were provided with soap and towels. the...

Stayed here for three nights. Very friendly staff. On check-in we asked that they book tickets for the 'Petra-by-night" tour, and we could pick it up at the desk. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was central heating. We had some problems with the shower - the water kept fluctuating from very cold to scalding hot, so...

This reasonably priced hotel is extremely well located close to the Petra Visitors Center. Rooms would seem to have been given a mini facelift for the 2010 tourist season - everything repainted plus new curtains/bedspreads - what a shame that they have not cleaned the stained and dirty floor carpeting. At a quick glance rooms look presentable but truth to...

We had 3 nights in the Sunset Hotel in Petra. Our first idea was to go in a 5* palace according to the royalty of the site. But all these hotels are early booked by tours operators. So we went to the Sunset. Do not try to compare with 3,4, 5 stars hotel but to a good Family hotel. Thanks...
