Perhaps it's because I arrived in the night, and the lights in the rocks were glowing like stars after the darkness of the desert we had been passing through in the long drive from Israel - but this place was just magic from start to...More
This place was truly excellent. It felt very authentic, the staff was helpful and seemed genuinely happy, the rooms were nice, and the food was good. There were clean modern bathrooms and showers... and even wifi.

After not succeeding in booking accommodation, managed to get dinner booked here, was picked up on time by duvet from the camp, with kids in the back up a pick up truck, which they loved, arrived in the camp, welcomed, offered tea (lots of it),...More
This place is every bit as magical as the photographs suggest: the warm lights on the rugged hills, the music, the open fire, the friendly people, the desert stillness and majesty. I wish I could have stayed much longer.
And it's safe, people. Perfectly safe....More

A lot of their food is salad and meat based. They do use pita / wraps to go with food (as does most of middle east places). Doubt they have gluten free wraps but you can always send a question. They are very helpful and wouldn't be surprised if they tried. Otherwise there is plenty of meat / salad options. We found they went out of their way for us (my wife is GF but just went without the bread).

Hi June, I was travelling alone and I felt totally safe doing this trip to Jordan with Abraham Tours. You dont have to worry with anything, since meals, transport, entrance tickets, accomodation are included, the guide is with you practically full time, and if you like to go around Petra own your own for example, it is totally fine as well. I definitely recommend doing with a tour if you are alone, to me it was perfect.
Regarding the camp, you can be alone in a cabin if you like for an extra, or share it with a female traveler. I was lucky to get a very nice group and a very nice guide, but I feel this is the standard group, everybody in a good mood, enjoying the trip...!
