The rough guide to Jordan recommends you don't stay here, we only found this out after our reservation and were worried. The location was decent, it had a nice roof terrace, for 5JD you can opt into the all you can eat dinner buffet, there's a shuttle bus service to/from the ruins and the room/bathroom was decent. All for about...

Great price, but you get what you pay for. I think my dorm was around 7.00 USD a night. Bathroom was a little dirty but everything useable and they gave me soap at the front desk. Dinner was 5JD but definitely worth it, an amazing all you can eat buffet. Boxed lunch wasn't that good but can't complain (only 3USD...)...

A tale of the goodness of people:My friend and I bought a bunch of pretty high end Egyptian papyrus artwork and carried it around the Middle East for quite some time. One day when we were in Jordan it went missing during a pretty ugly argument between our bus driver, his friend (who's car our bags were put into), and...

The hostel is definitely overpriced. Breakfast and dinner are not included and cost extra. There is no heat in the rooms, which they neglect to mention, and after a day walkung in Petra it would be nice to be comfortable. The staff gets really aggressive when you don't want to get dinner or a tour through them. I went expecting...

Pros; Free shuttle to Petra Nice views from rooftops The 5 jd diner looks good cheap bed Cons 9 dorm bed : no real hot shower, no heat, absolutely no room betweeen the bed. Personnal is pushy about tours and buying their food. Bottom line it feels like a facfory or going to a bank; everything is extra, they even...

Really great location if you want to visit Petra. Very comfortable, clean & friendly staff. Free shuttle to and from Petra and really cheap meals included for a few extra dollars. The dinners are THE BEST.

I tend to have very low expectations for accommodation for just 10,5 JD ( dormitory bed incl.bfst & dinner!!) Breakfast was in no way any worse than in some 30JD hotels I stayed in Aqaba. Bread, joghurt, tom & cucumb, jelly, cheese, an egg, tea...that should get you started! And buffet dinner... OMG don´t let me get started on that!!...

Really enjoyed the stay in the hotel, dorms are very clean, spacious but rather noisy. Changed to double bed room later and was amazing value for money as was the dorm. Breakfast and dinner are very good, makes the stay very easy and comfortable. Staff is very helpful but can be a bit pushy when it comes to organising onward...

Ah, The Valentine. We have a love/hate relationship with the place, but you won't find a cheaper room in town with the kind of atmosphere or amenities the Valentine Hotel offers. It's the only place in town to buy alcohol (great selection, too, but it's expensive at 4 or 5 JD a beer) and there's no better place to meet...
