This hotel is in dire need of updating. The carpets are rumpled and snagged, so they're both unsightly as well as hazardous (your suitcase wheels or your feet can get caught in them). There wasn't much to recommend this room. Good it was just for one night.

Hotel is in walk distance from Asahikawa JR station. Location is very good. Rooms are not big. Staff is kind. There is very good chef in the restorant. Rooms need renovation and replacement bedspreds. Wi-fi is free.

Small room which is rather run-down. Deco is like in the 70s or 80s. Bed not as comfy as what you would expect in a hotel. Faint smoke smell in the room. Only plus point is that it's near shopping street.

This hotel is conveniently located in that it is just a minute’s walk away from the pedestrian shopping street. The JR station (with the linked AEON mall) is about 10 minutes’ walk away. There are convenience stores, eateries and other amenities within easy reach. The lobby is a tad dark for my liking although it is not lacking in space. The hotel’s in-house convenience shop is tucked right after the entrance, and the restaurant is on the right. I got the impression that this was a hotel patronised more by business visitors than holiday-makers although the hotel is not strictly a typical business hotel. The hotel cannot hide signs that it originated probably from the 90s or even earlier e.g. slightly discoloured carpets, worn out wooden furniture, dated decor. This is not to say that the hotel was lacking in house-keeping or maintenance. There is a paid spa at the top floor which I did not try.

Overall, the hotel seems lacking in the wow factor although it is attractively-priced and conveniently located.

Stayed here for one night as part of tour package. Room is small with hardly enough space to open 2 pieces of luggage. Hotel is within walking distance to shopping street and restaurants. Do visit the 100 yen shop (similar to Daiso) located at the walking street, ask the front desk for directions - it's very big and has lots of products not found in Singapore. A good place to shop for foodstuff and souvenirs. Amongst all the hotels we stayed while on tour, the wifi in this hotel is the most erratic. Wifi only available in lobby and can only be access by one or two persons at one go. Breakfast spread is limited.

A very old and dated hotel. Room door uses key instead of a card. Toilet is extremely small. Carpet is torn making it difficult to move luggage along corridor. Walls in room were stained. Aircon/heater vent very dirty. Will not recommend staying here.

I'm usually a fan of Japan style rooms with their efficiency despite their size. However, the rooms in this hotel are so small that it becomes prohibitive especially if staying for a long time. Fortunately, we stayed only 1 night which wasn't too bad. The bathroom too is incredibly small and for this reason this place earns just an average rating. The wifi, however is excellent as well as the room ventilation, although you couldn't open a window here. Also, I didn't sleep that great, not sure if it was the hard bed or the hard pillow which contributed. Would consider staying here again.

We had 4 nights here and was an ok stay overall mainly due to the location. We booked a non smoking room however we noticed that when the heating is on, the bathroom mainly smelled like smoke and was very unpleasant. The vents need to be looked at and other maintenance items need to be attended too. Reception and the lifts also smelled like cigarette smoke.’

The beds were also the worst we had on our 3 week trip in Hokkaido. Very lumpy and hard as were the pillows.

Parking was complicated for us who don’t speak much Japanese. For other people visiting this hotel with a car, the fee is 800 ten and there is a main car parking space for the hotel. You are supposed to make a parking reservation which we didn’t know how to do or communicate. We just parked where the hotel told us too and you had to give your car key to the parking lot attendant and he’ll give you a ticket to give to the hotel reception. At the end of your stay you pay the parking with your hotel bill. Expect your car to be moved by the parking attendant. Be sure to also tell them your staying at the hotel.

Laundry amenities were a great help and reception were friendly enough. English was not the best though one staff member communicated well.

Unfortunately we can not recommend this hotel for its detail however if your only staying a short period and want central location then it would be ok.

Group stopover stay for 1 night. Good space for triple sharing but bed condition and blanket design very run down.

Breakfast variety selection very limited. Staff at breakfast room is friendly. Seat by the window, nice view of the place with first snow.

Staying here a few days. Very little room, just functional. Not to relax on the room nor in the lounge/central hall, not focused on relaxing tourists. Very kind staff though, but hardly any useful information for trips in the near mountains. You have to go to the tourist information service at the train station.
