We stayed 1 night on our road trip and it definitely met our expectations for the low price. Hotel lobby and corridors smelt of cigarettes, but not overwhelming so, and our room was smoke-free. It was a small room, with an even smaller bathroom, but everything we needed was there. The bathroom is like a cruise ship's one, maybe even a bit smaller, so bigger people will struggle. It had all the amenities and a non-fogging mirror. With the windows closed and covered up, the traffic noise from outside can be heard faintly, but it doesn't go on all night. Reception was good and provided us with complimentary water bottles. There seems to be mainly Japanese pub/tavern-like eateries nearby- we went to the next door one and had a decent meal, luckily getting through most of it before too many smoking patrons came in.

The hotel front desk speaks and understands English which was a big help to our stay. The room may be a bit small but it's location was quite nice. Breakfast options were not much though. They also have free parking space if you are driving here.

We stayed here for 1 night in July on the way to lake Akan in Kushiro. The hotel is near the zoo, but far from everything else. Ther nearest convenient store is about 2km from the hotel. We had to go to downtown (20min by car) to have a decent dinner. We had a Japanese-style room for 3 adults and a baby. The room was just enough for 3 futons, so had no space for our sutcases. We had to put them into the storage room where normally the futons are kept. The hotel is clean, the staff is ok, they also provide free carpark for guests. I reccommend it for someone who is looking for a budget hotel near the famous Asahiyama zoo.

The hotel is just 3-min walkable distance to Nagayama train station, which is just 3 stops away to Asahikawa station.
The room price is affordable, and the room is comfortable, clean and quiet.
The staffs are generously helpful when I was asking for ways to go to Lake Akan. They even reserved the coach to Lake Akan for me and the pick-up point was just outside the hotel.

Thank you for your hospitality. This time I stayed with my family, but there was one thing that bothered me. The smell of cigarettes from the middle-aged male staff bothered me. I thought it was normal for hotels and other customer service businesses to be mindful of smells. He was talking to a female staff member at the front desk, and I overheard her say that she had a fever. Even though she had a fever, she wasn't wearing a mask.
