The location is in the middle of the drinking district, which is a little suspicious, but it's great for drinking.
The room feels slightly old and the bed is quite solid, though I like it. But cleanliness is fine.
Notable is breakfast.
At first it felt a bit expensive because it costs 2,500 yen, but the all-you-can-eat salmon roe and tuna are wonderful, and the red meat melons from Furano are deliciously convincing.
This time it felt a bit expensive in high season, so I wasn't that satisfied, but if it's a season where room prices drop a bit more, I'd like to revisit it, including breakfast.

It's a newly refurbished boutique hotel opened only in mid 2018. The hotel is within easy walking area from Asahikawa station, turn right at Mister Donuts about 400m from the station. The rooms were usual Japan standard, not very spacious but sufficient for 2 persons in a double room, and plenty of outlets to charge the electronic devices. No coffee provided but there's coffee machine at the lobby area, free for guests from 10am-10pm. Take the buffet breakfast, its real value for money with fairly good selection. Staff were friendly and courteous, our request for extra pillows were promptly delivered.
This is an overdue review, we stayed in August 2018 on a last minute booking. As it is a peak season for flower tours, hotels in Furano/Biei area were almost fully booked (with the exception of the very high ends), we took other columnists' advice to stay in Asahikawa and have no regrets. Not only hotels are much cheaper in Asahikwawa, there are lots more eateries, shopping etc to do in the area. If your main plan is to tour the flower farmland, buy the Furano/biei rail pass that also covers Ashikawa and valid for all train rides.
