Great service and nice room! We slept very comfortably. The bathroom shower was especially lovely. It's in a prime location walking distance to a river and many places to eat and drink including a sizeable mall. The local ramen and beer was a highlight of our trip. We didn't use the onsen as my tattoos weren't allowed (couldn't be hidden) but it looked like a great location for families. The breakfast was yummy each day before we went out to hike in the mountains. My husband was particularly a fan of the natto. They also give you onsen clothing to wear around the property. The only thing to note for western visitors is if you do laundry lighten the loads if you want it to dry in a reasonable time. We ended up taking a longer than average time to get ours done because we didn't know that in Japan people usually do lighter loads.

The great thing about traveling around Hokkaido is that most hotels have awesome breakfast and if you're lucky enough an onsen spa. This hotel had both.

Our train arrived a bit early so wasn't able to check-in to my room right away; however, the staff delivered all our bags to the room we left with them by the time we came back. Although the hotel is close to the station, seemed like a bit of a hike in the cold. Wasn't so convenient with our rollers.

Staff were super nice as expected of a Japanese hotel and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast... food quality is great. This alone makes the experience awesome! The Japanese onsen was included so took advantage every night! Onsen was fine (been to better ones around Japan) but loved that they had an outdoor section so I can soak in hot water in the frigid air.

Overall a solid hotel. Well worth the money we paid~

Great hotel located near the main station. There is also a great beer & BBQ place nearby. The hotel has a great Onsen open to the public with multiple baths, deep tubs and more. One of the best I've been to. You can walk to the centre in 15 mins of drive as there are many parking lots around Asahikawa.

In for a great surprise - electric baths! It hurts but heals too.
Sophisticated onsen facilities. Great facilities and very near to the Santouka original Asahikawa ramen. Very convenient...I went to the bus stop to take the bus to the Ashimaya zoo but good to take note that zoo closes at about 3pm during winter so good to plan accordingly

Hotel location is good. Staff is helpful. Room is spacious and acceptably clean. Stayed only 1 night hence unable to justify a higher rating. Provide ample parking space and its free is a plus point.
Overall it more than serve our need as a 1 night resting point before continuing our drive.

Stayed 2 nights at a small double room. At first I thought 22,000+ yen per night without breakfast is a bit overpriced. However, the hotel exceeds my expectation almost in every aspect.

The room is small but the space is well utilized and everything in the room is properly arranged. The room and toilet are clean and bright. Pillows and the bed are comfortable. The staff at the reception are friendly and helpful. One night I asked at the reception for one more pillow and very soon after I return to my room the staff at the reception personally brought the pillow to my room.

Location is excellent : I just need to cross the road to reach JR station and Aeon Mall. The onsen facility is amazing. Huge indoor and outdoor onsens are at your choice. The few jacuzzi baths are must-try. It's so relaxed to lie down and enjoy the massage. Would definitely stay at this hotel if I visit Asahikawa again.

We booked a family room. The rooms are great and spacious. Everything is new, clean and tidy. Design is Japanese type. The toilet is separated from the bathroom which makes it more convenient to the family. The rooms have 2 cozy beds and 2 tatami which is excellent for a family of 4.
The onsens are great. They have 6 different kinds of hot spring which makes onsens becomes a funny activities. It is the first time I have onsen in a stone bowl and also the first time for me to have electrical massage in onsen.
It is such a new experience and relaxing.
The room rate is also reasonable.
Location is good it is just 2 minutes walk to the Asahikawa station.
Only one thing need to be improve. That is: it is better to provide one more washing place in the toilet.
I will recommend this hotel.

First of all, the train station in Asahikawa is new, lovely and panelled with wood (warm ambience even though it is a big station). There is a huge food court on the west side, and Aeon shopping mall. To access Hotel WBF Grande Asahikawa, exit East, and as you get out of the building, you are on a wide road with cars speeding from the freeway. Do NOT jaywalk because although you can see the hotel, it is the back side, blocked by gates. You should turn left towards the pedestrian crossing, then cross over and see 7/11, and then cross over to the hotel. This is the easiest route. More about the hotel: (1) it is fairly new, has a child play area in the lobby, has a big onsen (free single pass given to guests). (2) rooms are very good, cosy and huge by Japanese standards. The bath is separated from the toilet. Overall, wonderfully designed and tastefully decorated. (3) Breakfast is sumptuous and excellent. There was salmon roe every morning, and a good Japanese spread with some Western (bacon, ham, omelette). My family loved this hotel very much, the best we had in our Hokkaido trip.

The hotel was large, new and clean, with a very good selection of food at the breakfast buffet which is included in the hotel price.

There are hot baths which are very comfortable, and the masseues are quite skilled and very efficient. As only the second massage I had in Japan, I am not sure whether massage through the "pajama" that are given to walk about in to and from the public baths is a common practice (although I suspect this to be the case). But, there is no chafing from the cloth being rubbed on the skin and quite as relaxing as the bare hands on skin massages that I have had at Western spas.

Perhaps the best part of the hotel is the location: a block away from the 7/11 where the ATMs are located and about three blocks from the Aeon mall where there is a huge food court and a reasonably interesting offering of restaurants on the fourth floor (and a Daiso on the third floor).
