This is a hard one to rate. The facilities are pretty rustic ... The surrounding land is completely awesome and not to be missed ... There are no other close alternatives. That said, we stayed in a little A-frame cabin for four (Nypa 2), which was adequate and had a small shower with hot water, a functional bathroom and a...

I did the hiking route to the geothermal area and that was stunning !! I was lucky with the weather and I made probably the best pictures of all my trip. The colours of mountains are amazing. The other hike Idid is the one just behind the main building to the top of the mountain. It's a short hike and...

We camped at this site so we only used kitchen, restarant and sanitary facilities. Kitchen room was bit old and dirty (users were expected to clean it) so a thick layer of fat had settled on top of the fridge for example. One of 5 burners didn't work. Restrooms were ok, but with quite some people camping it is not...

The F35 is a beautifull road definitely worth your time. But I would suggest you drive through and not stay here. We booked extremely early, but were placed in a some kind of shed up a very steep hill from the main building. The facilities were in the main building. Meaning you have to go down a very steep hill...

The surrounding is beautiful, yes. But they ask insane price for accommodation. Being charged that, we were placed in a building which is rather construction site with lot of continuous disturbing noise from trucks, drills etc. Room not very cosy. Staff not much communicative. No wifi. The prices for dinner - OMG ... Overall not very good

This resort is located near one of the most fantastic locations We visited in Iceland. The resort is sufficient and served our purpose well. We are campers and hikers and this worked well. We choose the sleeping bag accommodation, a few others camped. the kitchen is a bit further away and provides gas and utensils. The staff is friendly and...

We visited here for 2 days in the middle of the summer. We really enjoyed the visit the first day. The second day was cold and rainy, but that wasn't the fault of the resort. The first things you'll realize is that you are very, very far away from anywhere else. It's over n hour drive from gulfoss and there's...

Our small room was good to sleep exept the thin curtains, they are useless. Our room was clean and mostly quiet and for a mountain hut very confortable. But very expensive for the service you get! The sad point is that they are not well organized. It seems that most of staff are just doing their work without thinking. The...

Helpful and friendly staff. Basic accommodation, small rooms with tiny bathroom and no hot water. Showers in main lodge. Has its charm. No food choices as dinner home made. Beds comfortable. Ok for an overnight stay.
