I was lucky enough to visit South Africa after being away from home for yet another two years. I flew in from London and was greated with beautiful sunshine and a warm Whaleview welcome in Simon's Town. After a long flight and good night's rest I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast with the freshest of fruits. One of the tastiest...

We stayed three nights at Whale View Manor and cannot find any small fault with it at all, we had stayed in several small hotels during our time in SA and this one was by far the best on many levels. Our room was at the back of the hotel although small it was well appointed and had a door...

Although absolutely not my style (it is very "country" with loads of flowers and fluffy pillows), Whale View Resort is a lovely place to stay with exceptional views of the coast, a few meters walk from the beach, close to nice beach towns, and great service. Style is something very personal, so I won't comment on that. There is absolutely...

Dominique and her staff were always there when you needed anything and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfasts catered for all tastes and appetites and the honesty bar in the lounge was very welcome and well stocked. The room, with its balcony overlooking False Bay was very comfortable was well equipped but unfortunately without a refrigerator which would have...

In Cape Town for the first time for a family wedding, looking for somewhere relatively quiet but in a beautiful location, and with panoramic views across False Bay. Whale View is only a couple of km outside Simons Town with its pretty fishing harbour and lots of eateries, and a lovely sandy beach is just across the road. The hotel...

The sea facing rooms at Whale View Manor have big windows that overlook False Bay, quite stunning although there is a road between the hotel and the sea front. Just across the road from the guest house is a small sandy cove perfect for a swim (we saw swimmers there every day). The public areas of the guest house are...

I had my wedding at this place. Stayed for two nights. Beautiful place, great view, very friendly and helpful staff members, except for the manageress - very difficult to co-operate with, pushing her opinion on how my wedding was supposed to be... Being rude to the service providers I chose over hers. She made an impression as if she was...

A fabulous little gem. Lovely rooms overlooking the sea. Definitely go for breakfast. If your thinking of staying here... Just go for it. You will be in for a great stay. Not far from Simons town. Comfortable rooms with big beds. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff.

We had a great time here, the hotel is beautiful with wonderful rooms and terrific ocean views. Breakfast was very good with an interesting variety of options - we had avocado on toast one day and mince and mushrooms the next. Staff were great, and like a lot of the small hotels we stayed at in South Africa they have...
