The lodge has been constructed in sympathy with its incredibly beautiful and natural surroundings. Each room is a cottage and therefore spacious. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. Free services include laundry and massages. The staff are really helpful and friendly too.

We really enjoyed our three nights here. We were travelling as two couples, coming to the area for the gorilla trekking. The location of the lodge for that is great, as it's inside the national park about a two minute walk to the gorilla trekking centre. Also close to the township in other direction. However, it's the other things about... More

If accommodation in a place called Bwindi Impenetrable Forest can be run so efficiently, with friendly staff, great food, clean rooms and total flexibility why is that hotels in big cities all over the world seem to so often get these things wrong. I've read some criticism of the steep steps to the rooms - well, chances are if you're... More

The purpose for our visit was to go Gorilla tracking through the inpenetrable forest and we would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. The staff made sure that every single detail was taken care of from cleaning your shoes after a long day trekking to ensuring a hot water bottle was in your bed on the cooler evenings along... More

I and my husband stayed in Buhoma Lodge for one night. Although it was only a night, we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff is very helpful and attentive. Food was good. Our room was spacious, clean and had a terrace with the amazing views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Hotel Manager Mr. Titus had been very attentive to us and we... More

We had a marvellous stay here for a few nights as we went into the forest to trek and see a family of gorillas. Buhoma was so relaxing as we were somewhat fearful of what the trekking would be like so was excellent to talk to people coming in from their trek and gain new perspectives and good advice on... On a trip through Uganda on holidays but work in the business tourism sector myself. I must say that the quality of the lodge was excellent incorporating the wonderful feeling of being right in the forest. All of the staff were delightful and highly professional, the food was simply superb and the rooms authentic, clean and really providing total immersion... More

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi was the first order of business for my wife and I on our six-week excursion through East Africa and we could not have asked for a better introduction to our trip than our stay at Buhoma Lodge. The main building and the rooms have an appropriately rustic aesthetic without compromising on quality. The staff were marvelous,... More
